I am 23 and never had a boyfriend. I feel down about this. Everyone I know has been in a relationship but me. I don't really have many (any) friends. And guys don't pay me much mind. Plus, I don't go out often. I've tried online dating. I just am so afraid I'm going to die a virgin and end up an old maid. Am I unlucky in love?😞

For me, my dad passed away when I had just turned 13, from cancer. As an adult I have come to truly realize how much it has effected my relationships. I've been in relationships ever since his passing, not with a whole lot of guys, I tend to be in very long relationships with guys slightly older. I lost my virginity at 14 (Way to early in my opinion) and I have a lot of separation anxiety. I feel every time my partner is gone, they will never come back.

I must be scared to be alone, because I am always In a relationship, I don't think I have been out of one longer than 3 months. I am not completely sure if it all comes back to his death or if I would have been this way anyways. My relationship was very close to my Dad, my mother was out of the picture for many years, until his passing, he was my only provider. I am just curious to see how such a thing has or has not effected other people's lives, when did you notice what you were doing was probably related?
