I don't mean to accuse all girls of being gold diggers, that isn't what I mean. My quesiton is this, I have a lower income job, but it is in a sector I enjoy. I am interested in the environment and conservation and work in this field (no pun intended) This line of work is low paid when compared to people who work in IT for example but it is what I enjoy doing (being outside, preserving habitats etc. I actually work with deer too)

However as I get older (I'm currently 22) I'm starting to reconsider my career choice, I know it's very early days still and I have lots of time, but I'm considering going to university to study phsycology (I'm also interested in learning to help people with depression etc) As this does interest me and the jobs are higher paid.

Would the fact that I currently have a lower paid job mean I'm not really worth getting into a relationship with, I don't mean casual dating, but something more long term. I can fake confidence quite well, but I do have minor self esteem issues, I've been single all my life, but I've been told I'm good looking and funny by girls. So I'm now just assessing all aspects of my life and making changes to make myself happier (having been single all my life I get pretty depressed about it sometimes so I try to distract myself) It's just something that I've been thinking about, the line of work I'm in currently is enjoyable, but I will never be able to earn a 'lot'.
