Search Results: being guarded

I was just walking my dogs, and had this exact situation. The woman we encountered didn't look up really, and at the last minute decided to walk in the street to go around us, as i was moving to the side in the opposite direction to let her have the sidewalk. Granted it was dark out, and i always shorten the leash on my dogs whenever people, animals, or anything else approaches. Yet that has more to do with my dogs being somewhat shy and skittish around new things, my only possible answer for that being that they are rescues. I also waved and said hello so as not to catch her off guard, but got nothing in return and the whole experience left me feeling like it was a little rude, something that doesn't happen often when im walking my dogs. Naturally i also take into consideration im very biased towards my dogs, but i have also been considering maybe she wasn't a dog person?

So in conclusion im curious how other people would react if they were the person walking towards someone with two dogs? Would it be different if they were only walking one dog? I will also include a poll to see if you consider yourself a dog person and if that explains any opinion changes at all.
