Search Results: who made the first move

This girl plays the hot-and-cold game to an extent I've never seen. We've been dating over a month, are sleeping together, and though we have not yet discussed exclusivity, it felt as recently as last week that might be where this is going.

When we're together, she exudes RED HOT interest. When I first made my move, she jumped on top of me and initiated sex. She grabs my arm or hand while walking, squeezing lovingly tight. She rubs my leg while sitting. She caresses my back. She suggests things we should do together. She calls me pet names like "love" or "honey". She's joked about me making a great husband. And she acts incredibly self conscious and vulnerable around me, apologizing about her looks or weight (even though she has absolutely NO reason to feel that way; she's damn sexy). But...

When we're not together she sometimes goes ICE COLD and maddeningly non-responsive. A recent "What are you up to this weekend?" took her all bloody day to respond to. And even then, I got more or less a non-responsive deferral to chat later.

It is possible there is another guy. We met on an app; I paused my account recently (which I wish I hadn't because I didn't know it notifies her of that...) due to work blowing up and wanting to focus on potentially moving this forward. She's still on it and who knows how active she's been.

Right now the ball is in her court. And while I'm tempted to just call her, I feel that is a bad move. I may be smitten, but she should treat me fairly and with respect. She can't just blow me off and expect me to chase. If she misses me, she knows what to do. My instinct is to not contact her until she reaches out. If I don't hear from her for 2-3 days, perhaps I can be more direct. We are past the stage where ghosting is acceptable.

Any thoughts on her motivations here, and what to do?

For me, personally, I came from a rather bitch ass family... not quite abusive, but very rude, and they never let me be what I truly wanted to me. Like my favorite passions have always been writing and drawing, but they wanted to force me to be a professional football player, even though I never cared for it. They also disliked my introverted loner personality style, and wanted to force me to be some sort of jock who brags all the time and his multiple women around him. Their words.

And I never quite had many friends, either, since my family's controlling behavior made me feel depressed, and I just wanted to be alone when I was depressed.

However, once I moved out from home and into college, without my parents knowing, I got into an art club, which would meet a few times a week.

And there, I met my girlfriend, my first true friend ever, and the first person I could truly be myself around without worrying about them judging me.

While I thought I had no problems as a loner, it was nice to have someone I could share my passions with rather than just keeping it all to myself. And at that, a very attractive slightly tanned brunette. Looks and personality, check. Likes me for who I am too... check.

I thought I was fine being alone, but having someone to share life with just made it so much better.

Not only that, but ever since I met her my confidence has been higher than ever, and I made a few good friends besides her as well. Nothing fancy, only about three close male friends I grab a beer or coffee with every week. But that's all I need. And before I had NONE, so it's an upgrade, totally.

it all happened at work, one day my assistant manager texted me on DM and told me if i was interested in dating someone or going on a date with someone. i knew who it was because another co worker told me that this girl named becca liked me. eventually decided talking to her on Easter and texting her if she would go hiking with me and grab some lunch after. did that. went great, met up a couple of times as well. never lacks on texting, always catching up on what i’m doing and always try’s to start a convo. USUALLY she’ll always ends up texting me a good morning since she wakes up earlier than me so she’s beats me to it. we had set a day for a movie night last weekend and things happened. BUT before the movie night, my assistant manager came up to me and told me have i made a move yet, i said no because i don’t wanna scare her away and her thinking i’m that typical guy. she told me to make a move. i’m pretty sure becca told my assistant manager to tell me to make a move... but we made out for a good 1 hr at our “ movie night “ and me hoping that she had a great time because it felt like she did. texted me the next morning like the usual, like “ nothing happened” which was ehh okay with me. now she’s really giving me late responses, doesn’t text me a good morning anymore, keeps saying she’s been really busy. i mean it’s finals week as well but at least follow up. i te texted her, “ have a good night  “ never responded until i told her a good morning again and she responded and said “ hey you, i’m having a great day thanks. i’m almost done with classes ” i texted back saying that i wanted to ask her to go watch a movie to me and it’s been 9 hrs that she hasn’t responded. i’m lowkey worried because things started changing after that movie night. but also she mentioned way before the time i first started texting her that she wanted to meet my friends , even spend my fits to bday with me.. like i’m confused!! what should i do? did she loose interest or is she just busy?
