Ooooohhh weeee!!! This topic loves to get hate and people shouting at you without giving a proper opinion. To make it more exciting. Im not going anonymous feel free to swear and curse at me and tell me I'm a bad person. And see if you find the irony of that.

Okay so my view on this topic is simple. I do not believe spanking (normal way, not sexual) your child is abuse. I was. My siblings were. My parents were. My friends were, and we are far from emotionally damaged people.

We care for our family and friends. We hate to see someone get hurt and we respect our elders.

Now I will admit to one thing. This form of punishment can definitely be abused. In that you can be too rough or too intense or do it for anything. Even small things. That's when it becomes physical abuse to me and that's horrible.

But whenever I did something very wrong. I got 1 smack. Maybe 2 and it hurt and I cried. But everytime without fail my parents. Dad or mom would tell me this hurts them more than me and they do it out of love. And I fully believed them. Thank God I wasn't sent to my room. I had so much stuff to do there. Wouldn't learn a thing.

A spank is a quick form of punishment which is easily to translate into being a punishment. It's sore and you don't want it to happen again. That's how I learnt what I shouldn't do. And no they didn't smack me and leave. They explained what I did wrong and I faced the consequences. Many techniques of discipline work for kids. This was mine and if you think you able to tell me if my parents loved me or not or if im damaged that's just laughable.

I reiterate. This form of discipline can be abused and done out of anger or hate. But that's something wrong with the parents mental state. Not the form of discipline. Anything in this world can be a taken too far.

I also find the abuse of children horrible and terrible. But if you can't see the difference in this. Then that's on you.

I came across a really offense prank video recently. The guy in the video decided to prank his girlfriend by calling her ugly. She started crying & responded by saying, "well y would u even want to be together with me if you don't find me attractive?" He responded by saying, "I've always dated girls for personality, I have unfortunately never gotten the chance to date anyone who is hot", but of course this was all a lie for the prank, in reality he does think of her as the most beautiful woman he has ever seen, and is in fact the very reason he asked her out from the beginning. He concluded the video by saying this to her in an attempt to make her feel better (she was still pretty mad at him tho)
Now of course the video got a lot of backlash in the comments, saying that he had gone way too far even if it all wasn't true. I am also quite offended, but for a much different reason. When she said "y r u even with me if you don't find me attractive" I don't think she realized that this statement basically claims that anyone who is ugly, or even just average looking in real life, has no chance in getting a relationship. I know for fact that Im ugly. This isn't just a matter of bad self esteem anymore, I legitimately look like an fn swamp-thing/drunken zombie compared to the average girl of today. The only possible way that I could ever get a boyfriend, is if he loved girls for personality only. According to this video & current media ingeneral, the idea of finding an individual appealing, solely based on what's inside just doesn't happen. Sorry to be hypocritical, but I contribute to this possible stereotype, but most likely inevitable part of being human. I have only ever had a crush on a cute boy. Never have I had a crush on someone with average appearance, yet somehow I feel entitled to attention from somebody gorgious, with no more then an average complection myself. It just doesn't work.
