Met a gal on a online dating site, and we're set to meet each other in-person tomorrow. I find it really interesting the differences between a woman's experience and a guy's experience. I've talked to a coworker who I got to know pretty well about her online dating experience, and she even introduced me to Bumble, but she's been the only gal who would tell me about her experience. (I've talked to a number of guys about it, pretty interesting our varying results)

Still, most people seem squeamish when talking about online dating (coworker has been more of a one off case, a few of the guys I talked to actually blushed when they started talking about it), so is it okay to talk about when you met her THROUGH online dating, or should I expect the same kind of squeamishness?

My reasoning: It would be like asking her about previous relationships/dates. It gives me an general idea of her boundaries, lets me know more about her personality, and what I should/shouldn't do to keep her (or if I want to keep her). And all that vice-versa, if we talk about it I do plan to include my experiences in the discussion.

Tldr, broke up with a girl, the relationship was really on and off (not as in breaking up n stuff, as in like there were real good times followed by bad times then on and on, mainly my mistakes but she didn't communicate it to me sort of thing, as well as final exam circumstances) for about 2 years. We're both 18 now and we've matured immensely off each other. We still wanted to be good friends but when we were talking to each other about the relationship, she brought up the topic of the future of us two. I obviously followed this topic (at the time I was still in love with her while she had lost most of her feelings (as she told me), and even though I'm basically for the most part over it now, there will always be a part of me that I feel will still love her) and asked what does she think about us getting back together. She said she doesn't know, and she won't be against us getting back together if it happens in the future, but that she doesn't want to be in a relationship right now and just wants to focus on herself for a bit. This is also consistent when her best friend asked her about this, and she said the exact same thing to her as well. (That she doesn't want to be in a relationship for a while, and said in the future if she would consider me again it'll depend). We don't talk daily anymore but we still do contact each other quite often. Any suggestions on the situation? End of the day, I feel that we two were compatible overall and had something together, but we may just be too young and need to mature a bit first.
