Search Results: use of a vacation

I’m going on vacation in June and I wanted to build up a tan before I go over. The only thing kinda stopping me is the risk factors especially because the fact that my mother had skin cancer and she used tanning beds. I’ve talked about this with my mum and like one minute she would be against it and then the next she was for it. She said to do them but don’t go overboard as she thinks it will help with my acne and psoriasis.

I am mixed race and growing up I was always fairly tanned especially during the summer. As I got older I wasn’t going out as much as I would have when I was younger I lost my colour. My family keep pointing it out that if I went out in the sun I’d have darker skin or how I use to be a lot darker than my brother and now I’m not. I do miss my darker skin tone which is funny because when I was younger I hated it so much because I was constantly bullied over it.

I just don't know is it worth the risk to do the tanning beds.. I wouldn’t mind using self tanners it’s just they go really patchy on my skin especially in areas where I have the psoriasis.
