There's a guy I've kind of like all year, but towards the latter end of the school year, I found myself falling hard. But, I thought my crush was oblivious to it. Until, I noticed a few things that he did after I fell hard for him:

1.) He teased me. For instance, he'd argue with me playfully in a card game or we'd engage in silly banter where we'd challenge each other by saying "Oh yeah?" or we'd trash talk each other before a game or something. But, it was all jokingly of course.

2.) He stared at me. My crush is a guitarist, and played for my friends and I at school one day. He sat on the floor in front of me, and someone requested he just play a soft romantic tune, so he did. Although, no one was really listening or paying attention to him except me. Somehow, some way, our eyes met. I have bad anxiety, so I'm terrible at eye contact, but I was bold that day. We kept contact for like 5 seconds before I looked away, blushing. When I looked back, he was still staring at me!

3.) He let me walk with him to class. I know, this point is ridiculous. But, for someone with social anxiety, it's a win and provides some hope in a relationship with the opposite sex. I never walk with people to class, not my guy or girl friends, minus one close friend occasionally. I slipped on his backpack on the last day of school and thanked him for the bag and acted like I was going to leave. He laughed and said "Oh, you're welcome." He unzipped his bag that I was wearing, put his stuff in it, and we left. We talked about our summer plans, but I didn't have the courage to ask for his number.

4.) We both relate well. We're both really intelligent. He listens and plays alternative rock and metal, and so do I. We both love Nirvana, Weezer, Metallica, etc. I'm pretty sure he suffers from anxiety too, but masks it well. I joke about depression a lot as a coping mechanism, and he's done it a few times too. So maybe he's showing me he understands? I don't know 😓
