I’m in my mid twenties and never been in a long term relationship. The longest I saw someone was for a few months and he was not someone I found physically attractive. I’ve only ever met guys through dating apps and have to rely on them because I don’t know how else to meet people. I’ve been on and off the dating apps for years. I have been off them for maybe 3 months and don’t plan to go back on. I just don’t get why I’m so unlucky in love, most people I know are able to get dates and jump into relationships. I’ve clearly learned to be alone but I think I know my potential, I’m not unrealistic. I know I’m not a ten but think I should be able to attract a decent guy that checks off a few boxes. I’ve only ever attracted men I don’t find good looking. If they’re good looking they’re jerks or if they’re cute/nice they end up being too short. I’ve learned to accept I will end up alone, I just think it’s really uncalled for and unfair. All I ever wanted was to find someone decent, they say love finds you well it better because I am going to stop looking.

A woman gets approached by guys but only the kind of men she doesn’t find attractive. If they’re good looking, they’re usually flighty. And if they’re decent looking and nice, they’re usually short. She’s single because a guy that checks her boxes just hasn’t come along yet, she’s in her mid twenties by the way

I just can’t get over how unlucky I am in love. I’m in my mid twenties and can’t find a man that I’d want to date. I’ve tried the dating apps on and off for years and they’ve been a nightmare. I’ve vowed to quit using them until COVID isn’t as much of a concern. I just feel like every remotely attractive or cute woman can find a guy and have tons of them wrapped around their fingers. I’m not saying I’m a 10 but I’m told I’m cute. I lost a lot of weight and even thinner, men don’t like me. I only attract men that are unattractive with decent personalities, attractive with shitty personalities or attractive but short. Short as in my height or only an inch taller. Lol I’m not that tall so that’s just unacceptable for me. What is so wrong with me? The last guy I saw was not good looking but he attracted good looking women, yes he had a good sense of humor but so do I. It’s so unfair, the universe is out to get me.

Help I am really in a pickle and I think I’ve asked this before. This time around, my realtor is getting involved and sounds like things are about to get serious. I feel like the unluckiest person, I bought my first floor condo a year ago and love it. The only issue is I cannot stand the noise coming from upstairs, there’s only one person living up there. The place is owned & run by property manager, the tenant upstairs rents. Prior to her, there was another guy living up there and the noise drove me crazy. It’s the walking that causes the floor to creak, opening of doors/cabinets and hearing conversations up there. I’ve complained to both tenants and the same shit happens. They’re quiet for a few weeks and then go back to the usual, there’s carpeting by the way. I don’t have much money saved and am banking on my income tax/family money, I’d be getting money as well if I were to sell my place. I was considering soundproofing, which may be cheaper than selling the place and moving. My concern is, I’m not sure if soundproofing will reduce the noise, I want it down to at least 75%. I just also don’t want to soundproof such a small place & the market is hot atm. What would you do if you were me?

I feel like my life is very sad and lonely to a lot of people. And they’re certainly right, it used to hurt more but I’ve become more content. I see people on social media all the time spending time with family and they do things together, friends and significant others etc. They don’t seem drama filled and everyone gets along so well, I feel like my life has been the opposite. I’m only in my mid twenties and can say that I’m always alone, I’m at the point where I know for a fact that I will never find love. Never been in a long term relationship, I don’t have any friends (online friends only but don’t count). I don’t talk to almost all of my family, I only speak to my parents and brothers. There’s been drama with most people I’ve called friends, workplaces, school life, family etc and I’ve just secluded myself. It’s become more bearable, at the point where

TL;DR:I am bitter and keep people at arms length. I was nicer and friendlier previously, drama happened. I’m to my self and what happens? Drama. I cannot win, people are just complicated and flawed. Am I just super unlucky? Or is this most people who seem to hide it better?

So I’m really wondering why I am the unluckiest person ever. I’m 26 and never had a long term relationship. In HS, I never got asked out. I tried the dating apps in 2012, have been using them on and off since. It’s been almost a month since I stopped using them & plan to keep it that way hopefully. I always figured that because I’m chubbier, maybe that’s why I’m always single. I lost weight & am still alone. Why I use apps? I don’t have a social life (only “online friends”) and when I used to go out with people I called “friends”, I never got approached. I only get noticed by the men I would not want. When I do get noticed by men physically attractive, it always goes to shit. Only the unattractive ones are usually a bit more promising. I tell my parents my bad luck & clearly they can’t relate. My mom met her partner of 15 years in a chat room & my dad has been steady with another woman for a few years. My parents are out of shape and not college educated, I hate to sound rude. I’m thick too but try to take care of my appearance and have a decent job, degree & own my place. What more does a man want from me? I get mixed reviews on the dating apps, 50-50 for success & fail stories.

The only men that I’ve ever attracted were typically not good looking. I’m not a 10 but I’m told I’m cute etc. I usually don’t attract good looking men, if I attract good looking guys, they are either just bad company OR if they’re good looking, they’re my same height/only an inch taller. Why is it anytime I attract a decent looking guy with decent personality they’re always the same height as me? Or am I unlucky? I just have preferences, I’m not an asshole. I just want a taller guy with a good career and personality, not asking for the world here.
