I was talking with a really nice girl for a while, and we had an interest in dating and being in a relationship. When she came down from school, we went out and she told me afterwards that she thought she was ready to date again, but she wasn't over her ex.
We had a few intense conversations about it, but she said she doesn't know how long it will be until she's ready.
We haven't talked since. The last time we spoke it was very brief. Do I follow up with her at some point or am I supposed to wait for her? Also, it's my birthday this week, if she doesn't acknowledge that, does that mean she's not interested or doesn't care?

I was working with this really nice lady, at least so I thought, a few years ago and we hit things off and had chemistry together. I was in the middle of a break up and she said she was amazed with how much love and care I was giving my ex.
We didn't date because she had a boyfriend and a son, but by the end of the summer, they had split and we're in custody battles.
So we started talking and I asked her out. We were originally gonna see mission Impossible for the first date, but she never responded the day of the date.
She said something with her ex came up and she wasn't able to respond.
She said a few weeks later she was talking with someone else and appreciated my interest.
About a month later she started talking to me again, and we arranged a dinner date, but her sister wanted to come and she said they'd all meet me at the place. They didn't show up, and I messaged her asking where she was and she said they weren't ready like a half hour later. I asked why I couldn't get a heads up, and she said she was busy. I got mad and asked her what her intentions were and she said she couldn't answer me at that moment.
After a week, I blocked her.

Did I do the right thing?
Was I even gonna get a fair try?

I've had a few circumstances, where a girl I was interested in asked for time to think or to be alone before we progressed anywhere with a relationship.
A girl I dated several times over a few years usually, would reach out to me after some time and allow us to be together again.
But I dated two girls now where they recently got out of a relationship and they asked for more time to get over it so our relationship would be good.
One of those only reached out to me later to use me and had no intention to date me. The other one is still to be determined.
My ex told me she didn't want to see me anymore and it hurt, and she's told me that several times, and after a few months she comes back.
The last girl I was talking with, she hasn't said anything for a while, and I'm not sure if I should hope things work out or if it's done.

So a girl I was talking too ghosted me for a week, and so I figured it was done. We haven’t met up for a date yet, and only talked in class for a bit. We had a date set up she canceled, and then two days later started ghosting. She randomly sent me this message after a week of ghosting.
Is this her being genuine and I should ask her out again?
Or is this some girl way of nicely telling me to say she’s not interested?

The text reads:
“Hi Ross, I’m truly sorry for ghosting you. I’m bad at expressing how I feel but within the past week I’ve had a few run ins with my ex and it’s been really hard to deal with. I’m not holding onto anything with him I just don’t want my stress to pass onto others. I’m sorry I do like talking with you I just kinda shutdown when I get stressed out. You are a really nice person so thank you for being kind.”

I've asked about this girl before. I went to high school with her, but recently started talking with her on Facebook. After a few months we were interested in pursuing a relationship. The first real date ended quickly because she felt sick. But she said she wanted more time to get over her ex boyfriend/first love.
She's been quiet and we've gone back and forth about things. The last thing I said to her, was I was sorry because I felt I was trying to convince her to get over the ex, and not helping like she asked. But I told her hopefully when things change she'll reach out and we can try again. But I'd be there for her. But I haven't talked to her since, even though she responded.
I've been really torn up about this for some reason. But like I said, it's been 3 days since we talked. I keep hearing of 50/50 of be patient or forget her.
I partially wanted to wish her a Happy New year or something. But she hasn't talked to me lately, so?🤷‍♂️
