Girl ghosts me for a week, and then sends me this message?

So a girl I was talking too ghosted me for a week, and so I figured it was done. We haven’t met up for a date yet, and only talked in class for a bit. We had a date set up she canceled, and then two days later started ghosting. She randomly sent me this message after a week of ghosting.
Is this her being genuine and I should ask her out again?
Or is this some girl way of nicely telling me to say she’s not interested?

The text reads:
“Hi Ross, I’m truly sorry for ghosting you. I’m bad at expressing how I feel but within the past week I’ve had a few run ins with my ex and it’s been really hard to deal with. I’m not holding onto anything with him I just don’t want my stress to pass onto others. I’m sorry I do like talking with you I just kinda shutdown when I get stressed out. You are a really nice person so thank you for being kind.”

but i think it's an easy let down. i wouldn't pursue only bc she's now involved with drama with her ex and was able to blow you off for an entire week for him (even though she's her EX).
