My sister underwent a huge love disappointment when she was younger. This scumbag destroyed my her life, purposely led her with false promises of marriage and kept lying. He used to make her cook and clean every single day, give ultimatums constantly just to see her reaction and she still had to work. He was living in her house and even though he was also working... he was still living off her money.

She surprised him once (she was 28 by then and sad about not getting a proposal and wanting kids) by accident with her best friend from 8th grade. Both were on her new couch, watching a movie and talking bad about her, laughing. She went blank and shot them both, wounding them (both survived). Then she wanted to go for a knife but someone else wrestled it from her. She doesn't really recall too much of the incident.

She has been released recently (she's now 33 years old) and takes two medications. She's ok by now and wants to date again. Would you want to know if someone was in a mental hospital?

I met this guy at the bar two weeks ago and we hit it off pretty good. He asked if I would like to go out to dinner next weekend and I said yes. Long story short, I meet him for dinner and it goes well (He paid for my meal). As we’re walking back to my car he asks me if I’m interested in going out with him and I said yes. We basically have been texting back and forth and made plans to go see a movie. In the meantime, my girlfriend was over at my apartment and of course she’s drilling me on this guy asking a bunch of questions (she’s had bad experiences with guys in the past). She then made a suggestion that we go to this website and pay for a background check on him. I agreed because I honestly didn’t expect to find anything but was curious. Long and behold we found out that he’s had 2 DUI’s and was arrested for public drunkenness (these were all separate occasions) I was a little shocked by this. We also found out he went to jail for his second DUI. Do you guys think this is a red flag and should I dump him?

With it getting colder and darker outside early, me not having much experience driving in the dark or knowing my way around many parts of the metro area where I live, and the area not having a lot of fun things to do… I’m considering spending time with a new guy at his place, just for privacy and lack of knowing any good date ideas around here. I’m not fond of meal dates and we both like the idea of just watching movies/talking. I just don’t know if it’s too weird or inappropriate to go to his place for the first time we meet in person? My place isn’t an option as I am staying with family right now.
