When browsing online dating profiles and talking to people, it seems almost mandatory that everyone loves "enjoying a glass of wine", to the point that when I dinner date I always presume they would want to drink, and they always say yes. Personally I'm not a big fan of alcohol; I drink on work occasions or other social gatherings where it is expected, but in general I just find it really annoying since it kind of just handicaps my senses. Sure you get a bit more social, but only a tidbit and the after effects just aren't worth it to me (I have no problems being social without drinking).

However, not enjoying alcohol seems like a taboo in western culture, so much that even mentioning you don't like it is almost a social stigma. I would love to date without drinking because anything edible, sensual or sexual is just dulled down to nothing for me - I want to feel, taste and hear without that veil of wine.

To be clear, I'm not talking about a lot of alcohol, but even one glass is enough to noticeably dull my sense of taste and physical sensation, and that just sucks (need quite a lot more before my head start spinning, though ;)). Am I alone here? If you were to date someone and they didn't want to drink, how would you react?

Okay, so a few months ago i met this girl online (about 4-5 months ago) and she is amazing, then on April 25th we started dating and we would talk a lot on the phone and Skype and text. Anyways I live in California and she lives in Illinois, which is about 2000 miles away so you can see my problem. She's 13 and I'm 15 and just recently we met up. I went to Illinois for 10 days and then she came here for 12 and she just flew back home last night. I miss her so much and I just want advice and if you think it would be wise to stay together. We plan to meet up again at Christmas. Also if you think we should stay together what can i do to not cry over her and miss her? Thank you to anyone who answers this

I'm a bit conservative when it comes to dating in that I choose not to have sex before marriage. I don't have any problems with kissing though, and on a good first date with a woman I'm really attracted to we'll be making out within a couple hours.

However though it seems to be that after the 2nd or 3rd date the past couple women will drop several hints they want to sleep with me, such as talking about their bed, inviting me inside, etc, however I just give playful responses.

A couple of these women I met online and my profile says I won't have sex until marriage, and they clearly saw it because they usually bring it up the first date, yet they still message me and we go on 2-3 dates.

I know there are probably a lot of women out there who wouldn't date a guy like me, but I guess I assumed that the conservative type of women I usually date that it wouldn't be a deal breaker for them.

The dates usually go really well and by the 2nd date she the one initiating all the contact because she wants to be touching me the entire time, so they do have interest in me.

Any idea what I'm doing wrong that is causing seceral women with seemingly high attraction to just stop? I don't cover pursue. Usually they text every few days, I respond, we go on a date and have a great time, repeat. Is it because they are turned off by me not having sex with them, or is it probably something else?
