My boyfriend is really sweet. He wants to spend time with me, and has insisted on meeting my entire family. He tells me he loves me. We've been together a year and a half, going on two.

When we went to his work, I asked him to show me where he sits (you know, I want to pictute him at work when he's there and I'm somewhere else). We happened to walk past one of his female coworkers, who didn't look up at us. But my boyfriend started acting kind of strange. He sped up ahead of me, like he was trying to create a couple feet of distance, and then he kept looking at her until she looked up and smiled at him. Then he exited the building without looking at me, and I had to follow behind.
Another time, we were at a company party and he kept glancing over at her, but she was talking to someone else and didn't see him.
And a third time, we were in the car and she happened to be next to us and he stared over at her as if entranced (she didn't see at first, so he was just staring, until she looked over and waved). He doesn't do that with me, that kind of stare.

Long story short, I'm interested in a guy. Despite my interest, I'm able to see a guy I like as a friend in case shit hits the fan. I've had a few relatively deep conversations with this guy. I prefer those conversations to small talk and gossip. I actually found him to be an inspiration for me to be a better person. I've told him things about me and my life that I haven't told anyone else around us.

Yesterday, I tried talking to him about a situation I told him about before and he brushed me off like he didn't want any part of the conversation. Today, I felt disrespected. There's a more conventionally pretty girl around these days and I noticed he was very friendly with her. There are a lot of girls that I think are conventionally prettier than me around, but he usually is consistent about speaking to me about our common interests, which made me think he spoke to me because he liked what I have to say. He had longer conversations with other people and had a long conversation with someone around me before addressing me. He was very short with me when he spoke, and he walked away before the conversation could go further. I've been pissed ever since. Granted, he probably picked up that I was annoyed and chose not to speak to me longer, but I took offense to it. The way I see it, there's no reason to treat me like that when, at the very least, I think of him as a potential friend.

So what the hell is his deal? Why is he all of a sudden acting like I'm not worth talking to? Once again, I'm not good with socializing and have no clue why people do what people do when it comes to my own life. I'm going to try to be nice tomorrow, but I really feel like telling him to fuck off if he even tries to talk to me.
