I've only had one ex and learned a lot about what I like/dislike in a girl. I'm a virgin and would prefer my next girlfriend to be one also. I also would want a girl that is supportive and loving, likes to go out, tries new things, is spontaneous, dresses decently and has class, and can hold a conversation.

I want her to be interesting and to support me in my interests. I know I could be a very good boyfriend, because my ex talked to me recently and told me that I was the best guy she ever met and that I was the perfect boyfriend. She broke up with me over college distance from each other.

I don't think I'm as shallow when it comes to body type.. I want a girl shorter than me who doesn't tell me I'm short (5'9), and who is in reasonably good shape. A pretty face is nice with anything better than an average body. I'd need to be attracted to both/face and body though. The girl I would go out with would need to like to exercise since I do it 5 times a week.

Are these "preferences" reasonable or should I lower them?

I'm 19 years old, have one ex who I was with for 2 years. She broke up with me because she said that it wasn't going to work out (distances in different colleges), but told me I was an amazing, attentive boyfriend.

I'm told I can be very funny and charming when I'm comfortable with people I know. I am a little shy with people I haven't met. I had severe body issues when I was younger so it caused me to lose weight, workout, get abs, I'm still conscious but have more confidence. I play soccer, and am planning on learning to cook, learn a new language and dance. I am in pre medstudies and hopefully going to med school next summer.

What does inhibit my image on girls is that I don't drink or smoke. Most people I tell this make me feel as though I'm too high strung for not doing it, but I don't care if they do it, its just a preference of mine for staying healthy.

Let me know which option I should do in order to meet the special girl of my dreams. I'm a virgin still at 19, and realize that despite the pressure to sow my wild oats, I can't get intimate with a girl unless I know her well. I really want to have an exciting life with a girlfriend, who I can make my princess and make more than happy.

Simple question. I'm a live and let live kind of guy and I figure if you don't like what I like that leaves more for me. If you like different stuff good on ya as long as you aren't hurting anybody.

Sometimes I run into folks though, that seem like they actually get offended that someone likes different stuff than they do.

Different preferences in stuff as minor as hair style, dress, body art, who you're attracted to, sports teams you like.

Of course we're all different, but do the differences actually piss you off? If so, why?
