I have been in a long term relationship for over a year now with a guy I met and fell in love with online.
However, before we really connected, I asked him simply for his companionship, but he initialized our relationship.
I sought out for a kindred spirit. One I could laugh, travel and have sex with, not a commitment-- not a lifelong commitment.
Do I date many guys? No. I have been hurt enough, I was seeking someone who could benefit my life and have it make sense again. It's far different than a friends with benefits.
I was looking for someone I could connect with on a whole new level without the stresses a relationship is known to bring.
Someone I could learn from, take friendship in, and conversate, learn and grow.
This person and I don't have to initially be "one", and I realized I'm not the marrying type at least not yet.
Him and I already, work great as a team, get lost in each other's eyes, talk, go on long drives, and have plenty of intimacy but we have had our many problems. His lack of not following through with his word, his lying, and so forth. My rambunctious, nit picking, and accusations of him cheating.

We have fun, but What are "We" , really , as a whole? Should I stick with my word and follow through with the companionship I'm seeking?

What is your preference when it comes to dating someone with children? Tell me why. If you have dated someone with children, how did it work out?

If yes, how did you feel? How did you react? What preference (s ) did you get personally attacked over? I get blasted by ugly men who refuse to accept that I won't date someone who's less than a 8. I rarely find an ugly guy attractive. I want my man to be fit and having a gut and not even a small gut is an option as I workout for the nice body that I have. If no, what's your take on those who personally attack others over their dating preferences? Is it right or wrong to do so? Is there a grey area here that I don't know about over those who personally attack others over their prefernces?

Im sure most of you will say #ItsJustAPreference but real talk i wanna know the truth. I've met plenty of people who say they’d date a tan white guy but not a pale white guy OR date a lightskinned black girl but not a darkskinned black girl OR date a whiter latina but not a darker latina and so on... it may be a preference, but what is your judgment based on? Whats so good about one skintone thats not so good about the other, especially when those different skintones are still categorized as white, black, etc? Is it because you want your baby coming out a certain shade or something? Is it because you think you’ll be looked down on? What is it? #Colorism

As in - are both taken very seriously and judged the same or is there a difference somehow?
