According to the internet for some reason, the term "weeaboo" is often associated with either Non-Japanese people acting like a wannabe Japanese person or hardcore Anime fans.

As someone who is not Japanese (I'm an American of Mexican roots) but has travelled to Japan, lived there for 2 years and is currently in a relationship with a Japanese woman, I honestly love the Japanese culture and find it rich in history. That doesn't mean I'm a "Wannabe Japanese person" or a "weeaboo" or that I'm rejecting my own heritage and racial background, I just find the Japanese culture and it's people very interesting, That's all.

I meet a nice girl via Teamspeak and we talked and played much via the Internet (bot alone most of the time). After a short time she gave me her number so that she we can write with each other, if not one of us isn't at the PC. We talked much and after a while I developed feelings for her. I told her about the feelings and she wasn't sure, how she should respond to that and wanted some time. We doesn't know that much about the others, but we talked a lot about our problems and helped the other one out (not here xD). At this time, I wanted to get closer to her (maybe too much) and shared a photo if the other one (that wasn't easy for me, because I don't have a good self-esteem). I texted her too much and she told me about that. After about one month she turned me down for now, because we both have some problems to work on (yes we do) and she wasn't sure about her feelings about me. She met a friend via teamspeak, who she thought had feelings for her. He seemed interested and said something like:''Let's see how our it develops between us''. After the second time he slept at her place (don't know if they had sex), he told her, that he doesn't had feelings for her and is unfriendly to her until now (they meet each other over TS but she blocked him after a short while). Now she is unsecure about her feelings and I told her it is ok for me. We both feared, that our friendship we developed could get destroyed, if we break up. It is ok for her, that we get to know each other more and we meet at the Gamescom for the first time (a little bit nervous about it <3). Last but not least, I am about to move into another city (to find a new job) and hoped, I could move near her. She told me, that it is ok for her too. It is hard for me to just atay as a friend, but I think I can do it and if the relationship doesn't end with a bang, we should be good friends. And now my Question. Is it OK to hopefully get into in a relationship with her after some time and move near her?
