Hello everyone, I currently in high school (age 18) and i'm having issues with the boys - i know it should'nt get to me but they all make me feel so ugly and small, it's why i've never had a boyfriend (is that weird) people call me cute and innocent, i'm kinda awkward, and i like nerdy stuff like astronomy and sci fi- i'm reserved and shy - i dont really say much in class so that may be the reason - a guy liked me abot two years ago but i frecked out and it all went terribly wrong since then no-one guy has talked to me - i dont get it they like the ugly girls, all the skinny blonds - i think i'm average looking - i'm altlectic, and tall but i dont really dress 'girly" i like more natural hoodies and jean tops, i'm 150ibs and 5'8 foot tall - i dont know if its me or if the boys are just shallow, i feel very alone. Does it get better after school?

i heard my teenage brother bragging to his friends about how he's talking to the hottest girl at school. Do boys compete about stuff like girls?

For my age I don't really look like most the girls because I'm slightly smaller (not so much), and they're just a little more developed than me (most but not all), and I kinda have that innocent look. It's hard because no guys see me as more than a friend, and when I admit to a guy that I like him they always get awkward, and never tell me exactly how they feel.
In general, boys tell me I'm cute but not pretty. Not sure what that's supposed to mean or if it's a good thing or bad thing, but I'm wondering if that's the reason why boys don't ask me out.
