Trump backed out of the Iranian nuclear treaty. Following repeated tightening of economic sanctions, Iran has announced it will once again work on its nuclear capability. This scenario reminds me of Japan prior to world war two. The U. S. put tight economic sanctions on Japan, and Japan had two choices. The first, was to back out of China. The second, was to go to war, in order to bypass the sanctions, and get raw materials by going to war, and invading countries with raw materials they needed. Japan chose war. Iran seems to be in a similar situation. Trump keeps increasing economic sanctions, including today's announcement of more sanctions. This seems to leave Iran with two choices. First, to back off, and let Trump win. The second, to go full force toward developing nuclear weapons and missile delivery systems, as a threat, to lessen sanctions. Being as there is so much bad blood between Iran and the U. S., which has only gotten worse under Trump, is seems Iran will surely develop nuclear weapons as soon as possible.
