My girlfriend is 5'1, CUTE, brunette. When we first met, she said how she's slapped a few guys for a few reasons. That night I laughed. She asked why, and I said cuz I'll never get my face slapped by a girl. She asked why not, and I said cuz I'm athletic you know? I'll block her hand if a girl tries. I'm not a player, nothing like that. Just.. confident you know? I asked her if a guy ever blocked her slap. She goes nope! I once slapped a football player too. She asked if I knew karate. I said nope, won't need it. She was all.. hmm, ok. Last night, we were in the kitchen, and I made fun of some stuff she was saying. She turned, faced me and gasped, uhh? Then whoop-casually hung her right hand slap to the outside and kept her right hand hung out. My whole mouth fell open😮😮😮😮😮and I froze!!! I didn't think her hand was that fast, but it HAD been like a blur, wtf?😣😣I looked out at the spot her right hand hung out at, and it was too far to reach to block and I panicked, looked right at her face again. My mouth dropped so f'n hard, ugggh😣😣😣cuz what went through my mind was DAMN she's CUTE!!! I was totally frozen. I kinda whined, mad ASF, went "ugggh!" Shut my eyes, waited. *Right smack hit perfectly*. Face turned. I put my hand on my cheek and looked at her. She raised her eyes at me, goes😏😏😏😏. I yelled, "ugggh, fuck!" I left. This morning I was still mad, so I walked by this karate studio, thinking about taking classes so I could be able to block her slap now. Then I just walked off, didn't go through with it. They don't have girls half as cute as she is or that fast. They'd get slapped by her too😒😒But now when I see her, what do I say to her? I'm still upset about it. I can't believe I froze like that... I hate it.😒

So I asked this girl out early in the week, and she gave me the dreaded "maybe." She said that she will have to see. We've already gone out a couple of times, and even after she said she wanted me to meet her girlfriends, and how she felt blessed to have me in her life; she somewhat inexplicably said that there had been another guy she was talking to, and wanted to pursue things with him. She and I have always been respectful, super straight up with each other, and I only knew her for a month, so it's not like there is any weirdness or hard feelings about it.

He shot her down.

Now, even though she had created some distance before, I figured that I would ask her out again to see what happened, and that's when she gave me the maybe. There are very good, perfectly legitimate reasons that she would have to see if she could get dinner, as she's a single mom. I asked her out on Wednesday, and I didn't hear from her on Thursday or Friday, so I assumed, of course, that she wasn't interested. That leads me to the situation of concern.

Last night, or Friday night, at 3am, when I'm at work (and she knows this), she publicly posted a bunch of super sexy selfies in her bed. I don't know if she was out clubbing last night (she usually posts group selfies with her girlfriends when she goes out), but she posted the pictures on her story, saying that she was having trouble sleeping. I responded to the post and asked her if something was on her mind (kind of as a joke, kind of curious) and she said "no lol I just needed an excuse to post 😂".

I know that the fact she posted those pics publicly means that they weren't for me, but posting at 3 and 4am is unusual for her, and she knows that I'm up and about at that time of day. I can't help but wonder if she might have been inviting me to make a move without actually inviting me.

Am I crazy?

I'm a straight single man but I don't really ever check girls out, flirt with them, or ask them out. I just always avoided love for most of my life. (21) however my first relationship happened at 18 and ended 2.5 years later. I didn't really want to ask her out (not because I didn't like her or want her but because as I was saying, I just don't like to be the one to approach women) I'm still single 6 months later while she dated someone less than 2 months after dumping me (family says she probably had this guy behind my back for awhile but I have no proof for that I give her the benefit of the doubt) I just don't know why but whenever I even consider it, I freeze up and quickly have to think of something else instead of continuing. My family thinks I'm weird and the other night my brother's friends and I were downstairs (its an apartment where they live downstairs and we live upstairs) one girl says you don't if I use the bathroom while you are in here and before I could respond the other friend said he's gay so it's fine. I replied with "No, I'm not gay. I'm straight" They were surprised for some reason. I don't dress like it or talk about men. I have only talked about females and how I want a girlfriend. So I had to explain to them my situation. Its just been on my mind nonstop that people think I'm gay or weird because I don't flirt or hit on girls and I don't make moves to ask them out and that im good friends with tons of girls but won't date them. I just don't like being rejected and I feel like it could and most likely will end with that result.(I've been working on building my self esteem up higher and confidence but rejection hurts the self esteem in a way that's hard to really avoid. You can't quite avoid being told "If you were the last man on earth, I'd be a lesbian" or "You're not my type" the last one sounds nice but when you hear it from 80% of the attempts you've tried in the past it makes you wonder if you are anyone's type at all)
