I broke up with my boyfriend of 4 years almost 2weeks ago. We had a heated argument bus I went through his phone n saw things a girl should trip over. One thing escalated 2another n I left n hvent seen him. He msgs me he's sorry and misses me. I ddnt reply til the next day told him I wsnt ready. He said ok I understand, bye. I instantly fell for it and said "don't say bye". He said what else am I supposed to say. I wanted 2 talk about the situation like adults and he said yes bcus he "hated this shit" I went to his house n he looked awful. He looked worse than I did during the breakup. Like he used anti-depressants n more than likely coke. All I did was cry n slept less. I askd him did u want to talk about it, he was hiding his feelings. He asked how I was doin I told him i was gearing up 4 school n he was lookin 4 jobs "Well u know I'm sorry and I didn't want u to wonder, I just wanted to see u, and pretend.." he acted like he ddnt want 2 talk about it. I tried but nothing. He started 2 deny what happened. I told him "I'm not pretendin, u wntd attention" n left. So he sent me a text frm whatsapp bcus he's in a bad situation in his life so his phone is off. It said "I just wanted 2 see u guess we're too different". I told him "we agreed 2 b civil. I cnt change u 2 the person u used 2 b when we were happy" I +'d "ur mom thinks u changed as well, U wanted 2 pretent. I'm not ur blame, n u can't keep beating me dwn 4 whatever, I refuse" then ended it with "I wish it was something I culd do, but I can't.." He has not replied. I think he wanted a rise out of me n it worked. I love him so much for it to end. I know I can't do anything... What do u think of the situation?

My husband took our whole family including his mother, aunt, aunts boyfriend, our 4 daughters and our adult daughters boyfriend on a Christmas cabin vacation. During a board game our 14 year old daughter became frustrated, stormed off yelling and back talking. My husband and I were stunned and embarrassed. My mother in law and husbands aunt went to the kitchen and my husbands mom very loudly was saying "My kids never acted this way...", I went down to correct my daughter and my husband came in angry, stopped me and told me to go upstairs. The aunt was telling the MIL to shut up, blah, blah. I began to cry and left the room. My husband came up and began a tirade that included saying we all are spoiled bitches, all women are bitches and cunts. Every woman in the world can't get along. Men are better than women... All while our daughters ages 9, 10, 15 and 23 were in earshot. The 23 year old was bawling and took the kids out. She later said the youngest of the family said if Dad hates women will he hate us too when we are older. He was out of control and had been drinking all day. He said he would never ever feel the same about me, his mom and aunt again. He makes the money so he tells us what to do. He proceeds to say the children come first, his wife, mom and everyone else is second. He threatened to take the kids Christmas Day and leave. He gets up The next day and we are all expected to act as if nothing happened. I have lost respect and love and don't think I can live this way anymore. He is very controlling and because he is the breadwinner expects us to not voice or express dissatisfaction of any kind. I have a chronic illness that there is no cure for and I can't live up to his expectations and feel I'd be better off divorced and sharing custody of the kids. By the way, in front of others and the public he is thought of as the best guy on the planet and I'm told every day how lucky I am to have him. I will be the bad guy in the breakup publicly. So torn and so

Backstory-While I was away at college a semi feral cat had 2 kittens under the abandoned house next to mine. My mother fed them, and she brought her kittens over. My mother decided that when the kittens were weaned she was going to take them to the no kill shelter and spay the mom and let her stay outside. Until then, she put a barrier next the fence so the kittens couldn't get too close to the fence. But we all got attached, so we waited a few weeks. I came home for break, and I told my boyfriend we had to stop it before we got too attached. And we were going to take them this Friday to the shelter.

Christmas was amazing, I spent quality time with my boyfriend, ate good food, and was forutnate enough to get gifts. Everything was going great. And then the morning after Christmas my mom, sister, and I go to leave and I'm petting a gray kitten which I think is Ash. I'm fawning over her and call her by her name. But they say, that's not her, it's her brother (they look almost 100% identical) And I get worried, she's so friendly, what if children picked her up. I call her name and take a few steps to look for her. I was so worried. Then my mom tells me "she's dead, she died", and I tell them it's not funny to joke like that. But my mom insists, they found her in our back yard, she must have jumped over the barrier and gotten over the fence somehow. I got really attached in the short time I was home.

And I cried all day.

My boyfriend was supportive and helped me. But I feel like this is the worst way to end the year, and maybe this is a lesson. I was so happy with the presents, maybe I lost sight that in the end, there are more important things to worry about and people die everyday. I felt guilty in someway for her death, and I tried to see the lesson.

This was more of an opening up than anything, I've been getting really emotional lately, and I know a lot of it has to do with the birth control I'm on, but the emotions are still real and felt all the same.

And I really hate the dog now even though that's just her nature.
