Right now, with the presidential primaries going on, I'm seeing two different dimensions. The Republican side are a pro-wrestling circuit of snarky trash talking and mean girls tweets about border walls, conferences with god, and then there's things like the people of Kentucky hating Obamacare by loving it (Kynect), while the people they vote for want to end even that. Republican Kansas is in a historic economic hole, and they continue to blame "others" for it. The candidate frontrunners on that side are nutty people lying about knifing people, alien pyramids, and saying they will control our enemies by saying "you're fired", but patently incapable of discussing the nuance of policy specifics.

On the Democratic side of the primaries, we have candidates debating things like whether we should have debt-free college or free college. Whether you agree with them or not, this is the sort of thing going on there.

Of course, both sides are 100% convinced they are right, and the former is not capable of debate, so I think it wouldn't be so bad if we allowed the country to split. Have the south split off into its own sovereign state and stop their politicians from affecting the rest. Pull out all federal presence from there (including the biggest net take in federal aid). Allow Kansas to sink into the abyss. Allow Kentucky to take away healthcare for themselves. They can then enjoy their theocratic/corporacratic utopias where there is no minimul wage or worker's rights.

If you are going to make the argument that the south should be the federal government, I think it's more fair to judge based on polling, including the next presidential election, which the Republicans will not win. The gerrymandered congress controlled by a party controlled by lunacy is harming the country.

This was my first relationship I had with this girl and it has lasted up till now. I can't see where it went wrong to be honest. First month, everything went really well, she couldn't wait to talk to me like every day, we texted each other nearly every hour and she invited me round to her house so many times to watch movies and talk. The second month, she starts her final year of school and she begins to talk to me less and less and that was understandable because of school stress and mock exams, we couldn't stop speaking to each other and every conversation got more and more personal (normally after school, sometimes during). We got to the point where we knew we loved each other and we reminded each other that. Now, the third month, she doesn't text as much and she never ever picked up the phone, even though I knew she was available. She went on Facebook to talk to people and when I start chatting to her, she takes ages to reply, and because of this i regularly asked her if everythings okay and she says things are fine. I talked to her the same way I did from the start, she changed from that and now she tells me she's not ready for a serious relationship, even though she basically handled it for 2 whole months. She was the only person I talked to about personal things so yeah I did want to talk to her a lot. She told me that i kept talking to her even though she was really busy with moving house and it really ennoyed her, then there's me thinking "how long does it take to look at your phone and reply with saying hi, wuu2" etc. I did this at like 11 so she can't be busy literally all day. Just the day before the breakup, she hung around with her ex and apparently they got on really well as normal friends. She said to some of my friends "I'm thinking about breaking up with him" and guess what? Literally the day she moved house, she splits up with me, just as she's about to get in a moving van. She called me and I argued in confusion and anger.

So, me and this girl, been in love forever. Though we're not together, it looks like we won't be able to stay away from each other forever. Like, we're not "together", but might as well be by the way we act. lolz. So after she finishes her crash course med school, tut idea popped up about getting a place together. But she objects, because she'll be making more money than me, and doesn't want to feel like the head of the house. I said we can split everything evenly. She said , no its the mans job to have a place. She only wants to "pay whats necessary ".

I object, because, if im paying for everything, I'm making the rules. And if were gonna be old school, then ill expect my pants ironed, my meals cooked and my homework done. But i dont want that, i like equality. I want to treat someone i love equally, i dont want to own them, or have them rely on me like a child. Or the fact that she'd have plenty of cash, but expect me to take care of everything, since i have a dick. So she can just save save save, while if anything goes wrong, im in the hole. We're both in our college years, by the way.

So, am I wrong for wanting equality? Or am I wrong for not wanting to go with traditional gender roles?
