I love being single, love my freedom but I get lonely more often than I can count on two hands. And everyone around me are in love (friends and family). I am happy for them but I often look at my hopeless situation.

8. I haven’t had the best experience with men. I have been sexually harassed/raped, my dad cheats on my mom all the time since I was a little girl, my first boyfriend left me for someone else, was in a abusing situation and my friends with benefits hurt my feelings.

I am ready to shake it all off and start trusting again. I have been single for four years. I can’t keep up with this sad love life. I have used my free time on myself and I have found my passion (self discovery). I am not ready to fully commitment yet even if I miss the intimacy the most (I am still young, and enjoying life), but I am done being mad at men. They deserve better and so does my soul.

Advice?

My sister is 16. She has friends that she hangs out with a lot and a job and a boyfriend. I thought she was FaceTiming with someone in the upstairs lounge room but I walk in and she’s sitting on the couch talking to pictures of her favorite celebrity on her laptop. I know when she was younger, she used to carry around pictures of this person and set them up to “watch her” and used to sleep right next to one of her posters and kiss it, but now it seems she’s more discreet and still does it. She didn’t notice that I was watching her until she was laughing at looked over and yelled at me to get out and got up and slammed the door. She still has yet to come out of the room. I think she’s embarrassed. My parents always assumed it was a faze and that she grew out of it when she was like 13/14. I don’t know if I should tell my parents or if I should just leave it alone. It’s pretty funny though.
