He is my brothers friend and he came home at 2 in the morning (not drunk) and instead of just going to bed (even though he had to get up at six the next morning) he just stayed up talking to me and his sister about random stuff and wandering in the kitchen & playing with his cats. He wouldn't leave until I finally said good nite (considering it was approaching 2:30) he is really shy around girls (that's what his family said) I've noticed him shaking a few times around me (I don't kno if thats anything) when we do talk I've noticed he smiles a lot and has a hard time giving me eye contact. I've caught him looking at me a couple of times and smiling if im laughing. Ever since the first time we met we always hug each other (he started it) this guy confuses me sometimes cuz he is so shy I don't kno what to think. I've been told a couple of his family members tease him that he should date me. So I don't kno if that makes him nervous. Any opinions please comment. Thank you :)

We werent dating and were going to have a first date.
I drunk texted him that us seeing each other was not what I wanted. I didn't hear from him in like 5 weeks. I didn't tell him it was a drunk text because I was embarrest and afraid.
He texted me first after 5 weeks hey, how I was? and that I seemed busy and asked if Id had hooked up with anyone else since. He did not reply to my response. Did I mess up? What should I do?
