I'm sure you all know why I'm asking this question so I'll simply cut to the chase.

I live in the state of California, which as some of you may know. Is one of the states in the US with the highest amount of gun regulations and restrictions. But the problem is that the government is focusing on the smallest insignificant details to change that it doesn't help.

For example, ANY semi automatic rifle that has a pistol grip, adjustable stock, & flash hider must be registered as an assault weapon (which means you are now known to local law enforcement as a potential "threat") OR you convert the rifle to meet the criteria they have set.

That idea is dumb. Why? Well first of all changing all those features is not gonna make the gun any less lethal. All it's gonna do is change how the gun is handled but it's still gonna fire the same bullet, at the same rate of fire and the accuracy will not be decreased.

I don't propose banning guns, because if you remember what happened when alcohol was banned completely the prohibition happened and if none of you are educated about what that is... look it up. (People will still get their hands on illegal shit) and that still happens today.

What we should do, is set a system to where any individual that purchases a fire arm of ANY kind. Should report to see a psychologist or psychiatrist which ever is more suitable for the situation. (At least once every 6 months) why do I believe this is effect? Well for one because only the completely sane people will be ok and willing to do this in order to have the right to keep their fire arms. I for one love guns, I own a SIG 9mm P226 so if I had to go see a therapist to prove to them and the government that I'm a law abiding citizen and won't cause harm to anyone around me? Shit I'm game!

If the therapist believes the individual is not fit for owning fire arms. The guns will be confiscated by law enforcement.
