From my dating experience, I've come to the conclusion that arguing doesn't settle much of anything. It only causes resentment and and kills the romance. If a woman is being bitchy, disrespectful, or rude to me, then I'll simply tell her she's acting ridiculous and I'm not going to talk to her when she's like this and let her know it's not okay to talk to me this way. Then I'll walk away from the situation. Most of the time, she will come back with a better attitude, even apologizing, and actually talk to come towards a solution rather than just blow off steam and get her point across. It took me a lot of years to figure this out lol. I've never been one to back down from an argument or fight, but in a relationship it's different and you have to realize that it's more complex than just winning a battle. It's about winning the war.
