I am the older sister of a younger brother and my little brother has always been the quiet introverted kid that everyone loves once you get to know but lately I have noticed slight signs of depression that are sparking my concern. My brother Doesn't seem to be getting much sleep he's getting tired during the day, he's taking unusual naps that hasn't occurred since he was probably a toddler. He expressed to us that he has not been able to sleep lately and he's waking up sometimes as early as four in the morning. He has always been really into video games but lately that seems to be his outlet like he hates conversing with the family at any cost. Like seriously he could play video games for like 24 hours straight he only stops to get food or when my mom forces him to. He used to be active and actually really good at sports and also very skinny lately he's been running out of breath just throwing a football in the front yard with my stepdad for 15 minutes which like I said doesn't happen very often of course. Not to be rude I'm just concerned I have also seen noticeable weight gain which you might be thinking "yea of course he does nothing" but my brothers metabolism has always been faster than the rest of our families. He has no motivation to do anything. In the past he has also told me something that I never thought much of until now and that is that his dad doesn't "get him" he's not close with his dad at all ( my brother and I have different dads) I wonder if he's not only feeling like that about his dad but what If now he's feeling like that about everyone. Like I said he won't let me talk to him much so I wouldn't know and if I asked I don't know what reaction I'd get. Another thing I've noticed Is that he is terrified of puberty and he hates talking about girls or anything to do with females he has never showed attraction to a female and is terrified of the topic. He is so scared it brings him to tears. which is unusual for a boy his age. What should i do?

So i met him on a cruise and we hit it off really well. He is the first boy that i have ever felt like this for and he is always on my mind. We would talk for hours until 2-3 in the am and hang out, look at the stars, cuddle, and just smile while staring at eachother. I think he is perfect and he compliments me all the time. He tells me that he cares a lot for me and wants to see me again and we were talking about dating and getting to know eachother better so that we could be a strong couple. He was super polite and very protective over me. If another boy talked to me and tried to flirt he would get super protective and kiss me in front of them. Just being close to him my heart was going crazy and i became really attached to him. He would wake me up in the morning and we would spend the whole day together. We sat in my room for hours just saying everything that we liked about eachother. He said that he had feelings for me that he couldnt explain and couldnt bear to see me cry. As soon as the cruise was over everything changed. Within 2 days of us keeping in touch he told me that "logic hit him" and that we couldnt keep a relationship because he didn't know if he could get time off to come see me because i live 5 hours away and he is starting college soon on top of the job that he has. He doesn't have a lot of money and he thinks that it won't work out. He told me that he didn't want to loose me in any way shape or form out of his life but he tells me he wants to be friends. He asked me what i thought and i told him that i was hurting and that i with in his eyes that i was worth the effort to at least try and make it work instead of giving up so fast but in return he told me, that he doesn't think im not worth it because im worth so so so much and it is just can't happen with what is comming up in our lives. Our families plan to meet up soon and im kind of scared to see him because i dont know what to say or how to act because i know my feelings for him are not normal.
