I volunteer with a children’s program and one of the girls I’ve been mentoring for around 2 years has been talking about a boyfriend for the last few months.
She's only 13 but there have been a few things said lately that make me think sex is starting to come up, and that her father may not be fully aware of this boy. She doesn’t have a Mum.

She can be really prickly, and doesn’t divulge information easily but we have a pretty good rapport and text through the week outside our scheduled meetings. I’m worried that telling him may break that trust and what impact that might have. I’ve talked to her a little about her relationship but really tried to direct her back to her dad for the sexual questions.
Any ideas?
