I met my boyfriend over the internet. He is reasonably attractive and he is an army ranger. We have connected and he has fallen deeply in love with me after 1 year of speaking and meeting up. He has talked about marriage and kids while I am always scared of commitment. He talks about children and I feel deeply uncomfortable talking about it. He wants a lot of children while I do not want any. I also do not want to marry him because I don't think I can marry the military. It is a big commitment. I don't want to be a part of his army buddies, I don't want to attend his military balls and I don't want to speak to other military girlfriends because of unnecessary drama. Also, I don't want to worry about him while he is deployed so that my performance in work would be affected. But I play along and talk about kids and marriage.

You may be asking why I'm with this guy? I need him for emotional support. He is my rock and I constantly lean on him or rant out frustrations about training and work. He did a lot for me while I did very little for him. I want this relationship to continue until I am able to stand up on my feet. And then I might break up and find another person in my league in terms of work (a professional).

my boyfriend and i met on an online game, and we are dating irl. my boyfriend is a really internet person with friends on the internet. 1 month into our relationship, he got to know this girl on the same game we met. they became friends and started calling everyday. he neglected our relationship, ignored my messages, and lied to me about things. he also exchanged texts with the girl like "i love you", "i miss you" dirty jokes etc. when i found out i got REALLY angry and wanted to break up with him. he said he is really sorry and the reason he did it is because i was busy and he missed me a lot so he had to keep himself busy, which i think is bs. he promised to stop exchanging texts like i love you and to think about my feelings more. he broke off all contact with her ONLY after i told him to.
after this, for 6 months he did not do any fishy stuff, did not get too close to girls. however, a few weeks ago, he did the same mistake again. this time his old friend (internet) came back after a long time. and they called every single day for more than 5 hours a day. once he woke up, when she's getting ready for school, literally whenever they can. this only stopped when i confronted him. i got really angry again and his reason is, his old friend for years came back after a long time so they wanted to catch up and he got carried away and did not consider my feelings enough.
now he's telling me to forgive him again, and that he will change this time. but the first time he said he will change, it seemed so real too. i thought he did. but he didn't and did the same thing to hurt me again. tbh, he's a nice boyfriend. he showed me his messages with these girls which meant he's honest. everyday after my school, he takes a bus for 1 hour to fetch me home just for 20 minutes and goes home for 1 hour again. he's nice, just not too smart. should i forgive him again? how do i let myself trust him again. i really do not want this relationship to end but i dont know if he will really change this time.
