I'm not going to lie. I do lose some respect knowing he's a liberal. Liberals have a lot of negative stereotypes like being overly sensitive and thinking that rich people should pay for poor people's bills. Believing in things like third wave liberal feminism and that men and women are completely are completely the same. Against capitalism and competitiveness. Against military and scared of guns. I also find that liberals tend to be the most judgmental and selfish people I've ever met. I'm successful and worked hard for it so why am I obligated to pay such high taxes for people that can't seem to get their shit together on welfare? I know that's not every liberal, but I see these stereotypes all too often and I'd be lying if I said I didn't lose respect for a guy if he told me he was a leftist. This might trigger a lot of liberals, but this has been my experience with it, and I'm not going to lie about my experiences with liberals to satisfy your feelings.
