Search Results: right to be angry

Inspired by a story I read in which a couple are fighting because she wants him to clean, and cook dinner more, but he works a lot more hours, comes in late from work, and has less free time. She wouldn't let him hire a cleaner, or order food for them as a compromise though.

I personally know one or two people who are like that. Who, on principle, will always want to do household chores no matter how much money they have, but then get upset/angry with people living with them for not helping (while shutting down any of their offers to hire help).

I respect that view on life, but I personally believe that if you can afford to pay for a cleaner, gardener, take-out, etc. instead of doing these things yourself, then no one has a right to get mad at you if they refuse to allow you do that but the chores don't get done as a result. It just strikes me that for those people; a partner, family member, etc. specifically doing the chore is more important to them than the chore getting done. For me; Time is more valuable than money.

But thinking about it, I got really curious about where other people stand on this issue. So, are you the type to pay for chores to get done if you can afford it, or the type to do them no matter what (and get upset when people sharing the living space don't help)?

Assuming you have a wife and children by her, how would you feel should marital troubles occurs and instead of marriage counseling, she seeks divorce? What if she is mad at you and wants to have you and your children split apart?

It seems to me that unless abuse occurs in the relationship, the person seeking a divorce should lose custody rights if they have children together. Do you agree or disagree with this? How would you react if she tried doing this? I'd be livid and angry. Not sure if I would get aggressive with my anger or not.

Should judges understand this tactic and judge accordingly, especially when It is obvious and the man didn't even want the divorce? If they both agreed, the one who initialized it should lose custody unless there is abuse occurring.

Please share your divorce and custody views! Are most judges fair or unfair in this matter?
