So last week I was out front tending to my lawn when the new family moving in nextdoor pulled up in a removals truck and got out. I had no idea that it was going to be a Muslim family & initially this wouldn't have been a problem. I smiled & waved in their direction but got a cold, resistant response, as if they were ignoring me even though the dad & son were looking in my direction. The wife was wearing a full burka & the 2 daughters were wearing half burka things, but none of them made eye contact or looked my way, they just looked straight forward & marched up to the door. Ok, whatever.

Anyway, my fiance decided to cook some Middle Eastern style cookies to give them as a homewelcoming gesture & convinced me to take them over with her the next evening. We knocked on the door and waited about 30 seconds before we could finally see someone approaching the door through the glass, but they merely looked through the glass, turned around and walked off, deciding not to open the door. Although we felt embarrassing and insulted, we decided to leave the cookies on the porch for them... The next morning I opened my front door to go to work only to find the uneaten cookies PLACED back on my doormat.

Refusing our welcoming gesture was clearly an act of arrogance which really annoyed me & my fiance. We were also annoyed by the dad's constant shouting at his wife & daughter which we have seen twice in the back yard & have even heard through the living room walls as well as banging & crashing when he shouts. But the worst thing of all happened yday. As soon as I came in the door from work my fiance ran up to me crying her eyes out & told me that the neighbours had tied a goat to a tree in their back yard & slaughtered it with a knife. She says it made a horrible, loud screeching/crying noise while dying. I looked over the fence & there was blood all over the ground & a cut up carcass attached to a piece of rope.

I don't want these people living nextdoor! What can I do?
