I mean, most girls I know drool over kids, especially if they're newborns or still in the baby phase. I on the other hand would much rather interact with a 5 year old instead of a baby.

Don't get me wrong, I love kids that are around 5/6+ and I get quite a lot of joy from being around them. But the really young kids either completely bore me or freak me out.

For example, my cousin had a baby not long ago, and I felt so incredibly awkward when she handed me this tiny child to hold for the first time. I didn't enjoy it and felt like I had to fake smiles and all the rest. Even when he was like 9 months old and I was holding him... I had absolutely no clue how to interact with him.

Does this change when you have your own kids, or is this a sign I shouldn't have any kids?

Does anyone else get this way?

So I'm starting to plan out my wedding and I'm want a really small intimate wedding. Problem is, we have a big family... lots of kids! Would it be rude to have an adult only wedding.

Reasons:
-I want an intimate wedding
-I don't know the kids, they have no idea who I am. (ex: I barely know their parents.. they are cousins but live far away)
-Can't really afford to have an extra 30 kids at my wedding when I would like to have about 30 people in total there.
-Wedding would be in the forest close by the lake so it's quite dangerous for young children.

My biggest thing is that I don't know those kids. I've never spoken to them in my life so I don't see why they should be there. I understand that the parents might be angry but at the same time if some of them decide not to come it would sort of be a good thing because I have way too many people I have to invite anyways as adults because of he fact that they are my family.

So, is it rude or should it just be my choice? It's really bothering me and I don't want to insult anyone. Especially because I love kids. But I just don't think it's a good idea for my wedding.
