Especially as young adults? I hope not because it's always been a thing. Not every girl and guy will be sexually or romantically attracted to each other. Friends with benefits doesn't apply here because real friends would never even think about hooking up or getting intimate with each other.

Long story short lead this guy on for awhile, he intimated me, we were gonna meet up as friends then stood me up. I apologized and acknolwedge my mistakes and i said that i realized i was using him/ to fill this void in my life and just wish him well then he was like " you're truly wonderful, you're going to do amazing in the dating world". I did say my goodbyes but i wanted to talk to him on the phone about everything and he's just been avoiding me, i can tell he's online and just been ignoring me. I know he's busy with work but not to the point where he takes forever to respond.

I have put this guy on the back burner because he intimated me among other things for a couple years. I have admitted my mistakes and apologised for them. We were going to give each other a chance but work got him busy and takes awhile to respond.
