(A) Someone who is extremely insecure and shy, to the point where they're very awkward around your friends and family, not very effective communicators (e. g., unwilling to chat with strangers out of shyness or share their feelings with you out of fear of being judged), unable to accept compliments or require lots of complimentation to convince them to accompany you to social events, not interested in new--especially group--activities, and is generally conservative in how they dress, speak, act, etc.

(B) Someone who is rather narcissistic; that is, arrogant, bossy, expects a certain amount of attention from you and is offended when that attention is not delivered, stubborn in their perspectives (i. e., "my way or the highway"), BUT, on the other hand, is confident and socially skilled (i. e., the kind of person you would be comfortable bringing to a social event), bold and spontaneous (i. e., willing to try new things, adventurous, etc.), and generally ambitious (i. e., not a couch potato, has career goals and is working toward them).
