Search Results: dont want to lose him as a friend

Im suppose to start a support group for depression next week & i want to do anything i can to help myself & my feelings, struggles, etc. I also suffer with suicidal thoughts, ideas, etc. trust me i do feel crazy sometimes. I would never hurt anyone just myself im tempted. This has been happening to me for several years now. Its free, & to work with a counselor one on one. They will give out some assignments too. Its for 6 weeks once a week for 1hr n half. Im also reading a book from david burns "feeling good". My depression is mostly to do with not having work for awhile i have been applying to places everywhere. Then sometimes when i do work i feel overwhelmed & quit instead giving it a chance. Also to do with relationships & not feeling like im good enough sometimes. I love someone & things always dont work out. I also feel like none of my hopes or dreams will happen. Such as never going to get married, have my dream wedding, kids, etc. All my dream career isn't going to happen which was "acting". meanwhile i do things that make me happy, like reading, excersise, listen to music, hanging with friends, watching movies, going to the beach when its summer, amusement parks. so i was thinking whats the point for me to go to group? what if it doesn't really help me at the end? i feel nothing will help me :(. i can't stop being negative, i feel like crying sometimes & i like too sometimes so i dont feel like a zombie. i lost all hope for true love thats for sure.

just wanted to see other ppls opinions if they found the groups helpful & if i should go? i really do want to be happy in life deep down.
