I'm talking to a guy in a punk rock band. He is 26. He's been playing in the band for years. He's not like "gorgeous..." He has a more grungy, dirty look to him. Longer hair and not clean cut. He's pretty poor at the moment. My friends told me guys in bands get women left and right but I don't see that really... He plays drums; he's smaller, like thin and short, the people in his band are all in relationships. He dated someone a long time ago. On Facebook I see no women action, like it's all dudes that like his stuff and that he likes or is tagged in. I guess I just don't want to blindly think this guy is genuine if he isn't... Why do my friends say this? Is it true? I'm interested in him bc I had met him years ago, I'm not sure if I would go gaga over him if I hadn't.

I have hair slightly below my shoulders and I can't decide if I should get a long weave or cut it a bit for a fresh lob (long bob).

I have a baby face and look 5-6 years younger than my age so I want a haircut/style that'll add more sex appeal and maturity.

My boyfriend keeps telling me he wants me to get a pixie haircut. I have mid-back length hair and I really like it, but he really, really wants me to cut it. He won't stop asking. He says he will find me more attractive if I cut it. I want him to find me attractive. Do you think I should cut it? My hair does grow pretty fast.

I've always been a genuine good person. My kindness and strong intuition and belief of good in people have always been aspects of myself I'm grateful for. That said, when it comes to dating and men.. I've always gone after men who may not be financially stable or "clean cut" but have genuine souls or I see something in them that I guess others don't? My family and friends think I lower my standards. My cousin told me because I'm gorgeous & classy, and well-educated, and he thinks I should have men begging to be with me.. Which I mean, I do get guys after me often... But they aren't what I'm looking for because many of them are either players or don't view life as I view life. I have a very artistic vision to life. I'm currently interested in a man who is a musician and lives on the road... He has a very punk/hippy, unclean maybe disheveled look to him overall, and maybe he's average looking.. Small framed and scraggly beard and hair... He doesn't have a job otherwise, or a car, and he's 26. But I honestly don't see him as my friends and cousin see him? They were in shock I wanted to be with him bc they think I'm "out of his league" but I don't believe in "leagues" at all. I think a person is a person and I'm after the heart and what's inside.. And I just really think this guy is a good guy, and he's into making music.. And I think he THINKS about life as I do. My cousin told me I must be desperate if I'm after him, and that i need to get more confidence in myself and find men who are "clean cut" and shop at fancy stores and have an actual job and education. Am I being delusional because I'm looking past that?

When I was in in 6th grade, I looked terrible, I looked like a potato with a lot of acne, and people usually called me ugly, or fat, or hideous, and they told me to get a nose job, or plastic surgery. I was very upset, and I had a serious depression for 2 years. I remember that I used to cut myself, I just did it, I didn't even understand why I like that. And I used to binged and purged...

Until I decide to make a change, I work out, I ate clean, I took care of my hair, my skin, and Puberty started to kick in. By that time I was in 8th grade, and when school started, my friends were amazed because of my changes. People told me that I'm beautiful, my friends told me that I'm kinda hot, my parent's friends and co-workers called me cute. But my new teacher started to judge me, she said that I should stop this and throw hurtful words at me, she didn't even know what the fuck had I been through, she didn't even give a fuck to care about what she said. She had insulted me so much about intelligent and my dignity. She said things that she didn't even know what she was talking about. Why? Because to her, pretty people are dumb and lazy, and I don't even make this up, she told me. And she treated me differently from the others. And if you even wondered, I was excellent in English, and my writing and reading skill were really good, so no, i wasn't dumb. The two subjects that I sucked at were Math and Chemistry. So the bitch usually called me out and accused me that I spend too much time in my looks, which wasn't even true, I had shits to do, and yeah, I'm human so I'm not perfect. And some of the guys in school usually talked behind my back about things like i'm pretty so that I must be dumb.

But now it's over. So, yeah, tell me what do u think about people like that.

Do I have bad genetics?

Well people tell me I have bad genetics for these two reasons. So I'm considering if I should have children because people act like I'm genetically inferior. Including my old friends in middle school and high school I had to cut off because they kept bullying me.

Number 1- I have lazy eye and I have to wear glasses and contact lenses and I need eye exercises to improve my vision. Most likely my kids are gonna be crossed eyed and they are going to need glasses, contract lenses as well. Or some type of eye aid..

Number 2- my appearance. My parents say that if your hair is Afro textured or you have 4C hair your hair disgusting and it looks ugly. My dad brags about his hair and says it's better and we all have bad hair and it's better to look like a biracial or mixed chick. So I'm basically screwed for life.

My friend just suggested that I have kids with a white man so my kids will have good hair and not have to be bullied and bashed for their hair like I am now.

I want to have kids in the future but I feel like I shouldn't because what my family and kids at school say there's something wrong with me because of these two reasons and I can't change these reasons.

Even f I have kids I fear that my family will tease, make fun of my kids because they look like me. Because apparently looking like me is a bad thing. :/
