Do guys in bands really get laid as often as portrayed? Should I worry about this guy I'm talking to?

I'm talking to a guy in a punk rock band. He is 26. He's been playing in the band for years. He's not like "gorgeous..." He has a more grungy, dirty look to him. Longer hair and not clean cut. He's pretty poor at the moment. My friends told me guys in bands get women left and right but I don't see that really... He plays drums; he's smaller, like thin and short, the people in his band are all in relationships. He dated someone a long time ago. On Facebook I see no women action, like it's all dudes that like his stuff and that he likes or is tagged in. I guess I just don't want to blindly think this guy is genuine if he isn't... Why do my friends say this? Is it true? I'm interested in him bc I had met him years ago, I'm not sure if I would go gaga over him if I hadn't.

I've played in a local band for about 6 months now, so not too long. It's not very glamorous, but it's still fun. Usually, we're just playing for our family/friends and the family/friends of other bands. A couple bar regulars show up, but there aren't too many girls our age, except the one college bar. The few girls that talk to us only approach our guitarist/singer (we have a 3-piece). They aren't swarming him. Usually, it's just running into a girl in the bar after your set, and they give you a compliment. They just ask about band stuff. Only 1 girl was aggressively trying to get with our guitarist. The ones who do swarm us are typically super drunk guys, the other bands being friendly and supportive, and musicians trying to network. The guitarist's girlfriend told me I'm the cutest one in the band and should be getting girls (she's trying to wingman me to keep girls away from her boyfriend haha), but they still approach the guitarist first. If I wasn't so shy, I could get some numbers from being in a band, but I'd still have to put effort into it like any other guy. I just have an advantage because being in a band makes you the center of attention verses having to convince a girl to pay attention.

I would check out his show to see how he interacts with everyone. His band might be popular in the area if he's played for a couple years, so then he might have more female fans. It sounds like he mainly hangs out with his guy friends, so he's probably not getting women like crazy, but it really depends on his character. Maybe see if his friends are loyal to their gfs and treat them well.

Yes they do. Women love SOCIAL STATUS (POPULARITY). The more popular you are and eyes are on you the easier it is for women to want to fuck you. Same thing with DJ, celebrities, or well known athletes. Basically any garner of enough attention and you'll have women very easily wanting to suck your dick.

I'm the videographer for a local metal band. Let me use them as an example.

Lead Singer and Guitarist: might as well be Rajh from the first few seasons of "The Big Bang Theory" because he is horribly nervous around women, and can't form complete sentences.

Drummer: deeply spiritual and committed to his recovery after battles with addiction. Not interested in relationships ATM, and not interested in sex outside of a committed relationship.

Bassist/Back-up Vocals: My boyfriend of two years. We're in an open relationship, because **I'M** non-monogamous. He let's me have other men on the side, but he has zero interest in having other women.

they do. probably more than you think in most cases. i was in a band. we had guys in the band who were not very attractive but we'd play a show and without fail there would be girls waiting to hookup.

people seem to just be very into guys playing music. so you have to consider that if people go see a band it's probably because they like their music so the person in the band automatically has a certain spot in the heart and mind of that girl

Wow cool! I look sort of like him, since I like metal and some punk rock. I am 26 myself, plus I dress in black leather and have long hair, dyed silver. The only difference is that I'm a Korean American.

But I think it depends on what instrument he plays. I don't know what your boyfriend plays, but I noticed that the lead singer is usually the first choice for the women, the guitarist (s) are second, then the drummer, but the bassist is last.

Yeah, they are, but usually the singer, the guitarist (s), sometimes the drummer. The bassist hardly gets any.

I per se don't have experience, no. But I'm a guy who's grown up listening to rock music and hearing radio DJs tell the news about rockers who've slept with girls on tour - some of whom have even raped teen girls but paid them to keep quiet. I can't believe you're really even having trouble believing this. Mick Jagger's kids are the product of him sleeping with different women throughout his life. Julio Iglesias too. DMX. Etc.

I think the same thing is going on even with local bands. There's a tendency for females to find rockers hot, whether they're local or wide scale famous.
