I find this question perplexing because it makes me conflicted. I'm constantly exposed to both narratives.

First narrative being that there needs to be a parent who takes care of the things in the household while the other takes care of things outside of the household.
2nd narrative being that men don't like women who depend on them since they see them as weak, a burden etc.

I here that women are superficial when it comes to choosing there mate in regards to income, cars, independent, good job or career, etc. Are men superficial in that aspect?

I'm not a superficial person, but I've learned that maybe I should raise my standards. The problem is that I have a big heart and end up seeing the best in people. I've dated guys who didn't have a job or had a high school diploma... they had no ambitions and used me for my money.

I'm working on my masters... would it be wrong/superficial to want someone with an education? Should I look for someone with my same level of educational level?
