I really like this girl even though i never told her because she sends me mixed signals. She's 20 yo and I'm 18 but trust me i look older :)

Sometimes she will be really friendly. She will come talk to me and smile at me when i talk to her and make lots of eye contact. She touches me a lot as well, specially my hands. She likes to flirt with me a lot specially when we are alone. Like there was this day when we were alone and she hugged me and teased me playfully with a really wide smile, just like bf and gf do. I felt that she really liked me. There was also this time when my friend took my phone and sent her a text saying 'i love you'. She texted me back with a heart, like this <3. I'm not sure if she really meant it or if she was kidding tho.

But there are other moments when i feel she doesn't like me that much. Whenever i text her she answers with one or two words and she doesn't make an effort to keep the conversation going. Sometimes she will also be a bit cold to me, she won't smile to me or come talk to me. She also seems that she doesn't want to be around me sometimes, making excuses to leave the conversation. She never really stops talking to me though.

I feel like if she really likes me she wouldn't change her behavior like this. But if she doesn't like me why would she seem so genuinely interested in me sometimes?

She only had one bf before and it was 2 years ago so she may not have experience with guys.

Why does she do this? Is she playing hard to get or what?
