I met this girl a few weeks ago and I'd flirted with her playful previously. I decided to ask her out this week so I flirted a more aggressively, playful stares, smiling, playful touching. She was making eye contact and returning the playful stares, but she didn't touch me back.

The night was getting close to ending so I flirted even more to make sure she (hopefully) knew I liked her before I asked her out to build some anticipation. Everyone was in a big circle so I went and grabbed the ball and threw it at her butt from across the court. She gave me the 'I can't believe you just did that' look and called me rude, so I fake apologized and hit her in the butt with the ball again. She then ran over to the other side of the circlle. After that we split into teams and she wanted to play with the ball I had because it was hers, so I playful told her to turn around (so I could hit her in the butt with it again) and she was again clearly flustered by that and chose to play with another ball instead of letting me hit her in the butt again.

As the last game ended I picked up the ball. When she came to get it I faked giving it to her then pulled it away. She said "oh fine you keep it" and walked away. As she was headed back to her car I walked up to her and said "you know, you're really cute when you're flustered". She put her hand out for the ball and gave kind of a pouty submissive look with her head tilted down. I took her hand it mine and shook it in a silly shake motion. I made sure to let her hand rest in my with only a slight grip so that she could easily pull her hand away if she wanted to, but she did not. The silly handshake lasted for about ~15 seconds while I asked her if she was free this week. She said she was "legitimately busy this week", so I told her I'd give her my number and for her to call me. She took my number, asked for my last name, and I told her to enjoy her week and we left.

What do you think? Did I flirt well or was she annoyed by it?

At school, there is a girl I really like. I am not sure if she likes me back. We have 1 class together and sit far away but work on projects together. She is always really nice and polite to me and generally everyone. She either really looks at my eyes and pays attention or does not really look at me but she keeps talking. She always uses my full name when she talks to me and does not tell many jokes but always listens to what I say and seems somewhat happy. Her freinds said she thinks I am really nice and a month or two ago, they said she likes me and wanted me to ask her to prom. However, I missed my opportunity to ask her out to prom because she got asked. I am getting to know her better and I do not know what she genuinely thinks about me. I have her number but we dont really text too much; I am not too fond in texting. I am scared to ask her out not just because of rejection but because we are in a similar freind group and I dont want to lose her as a freind. Is there a way I can stay true to myself yet ask her out with little chance of denial? Looks wise she is very attractive (8,9) and I am decent my self (7,8). She is slightly out of my league socially because pretty girls in junior year of a small high school are automatically popular and I pretty shy. In the hallways when she sees me, she always says hi and smiles. I came back from vacation and bought a gift and I was thinking about giving it to her Friday in this format: We are working on a project during the last period of the day on a halfday Friday and I was thinking about asking her to hangout and get a bite to eat and before we split, I was thinking about giving her the gift. Is this a good idea? I am open to all types of responses. Just a nice guy looking for some good advice.
