I broke up with my boyfriend of nearly three years today.

We have had a tumultuous, on and off relationship because he spent the first two years being indecisive, deceitful, sneaky, shady, and bringing his past relationship baggage to our new relationship. He has spent most of his time being a leech that greedily sucks the positivity and happiness from my life with his parasitic nature. I have stayed loyal out of love and hope within him as a man but my heart cannot forget the betrayal. He's stabbed me in the back over seven times of which include emotional cheating, letting other men disrespect me, and manipulating cops/outright lying to them while he made himself look like a victim after putting me through a year of his horrible personality.

Fast-forward: He’s fallen madly in love with me, says I have changed him and made him a better man, and wishes to start fresh and spend his life with me. It’s too late. There’s already a disgust in my soul that I can’t seem to get rid of no matter how loyal I am and how much I mentally try to move forward. It was so bad that I didn’t even want to look at his face today. All I could think of was him being two-faced and his d*ck pumping in and out of some random p*ssy. I didn’t want to be fake and spend his money on dinner so I honestly told him how I feel. It resulted in me leaving him.

So, it's a long story between he and I. We met in middle school and things took a serious, intimate turn in high school. We were each other's world. I moved to another school our sophomore year but that didn't stop us from being there for each other every step of the way. Sadly, we lost contact halfway through our senior year when some drama went down in my family. I've now finished my second year in college and we've found each other again. We picked up right where we left off like nothing ever happened and it was effortless. However, while I wasn't there for a couple years, he did start things with another woman about 4 or 5 months ago (we only got back in contact a couple weeks to a month ago). They seemed to have pulled each other out of whatever funk they'd gotten themselves into through phone calls and Skype calls (because we're in Texas while she's in Canada). I don't believe they've ever actually met in person. Anyways, she just left an abusive boyfriend yesterday for him and now he doesn't know what to do because "she's been fighting for something like this and has earned a good guy." But at the same time, he says he loves me and doesn't want to lose me again because he can't bear the thought. The thing is, I see it as like she saw him starting to be happy without her and she got jealous enough to act after he'd already had his mind and heart set on me. He didn't even see her as an option until last night after he got home from our date because it wasn't like she was ever going to leave the other guy anyways so why wait around? But now that she's suddenly done this, he tells me he doesn't know what to do. I don't want to lose a man I connect with so well, who makes me feel appreciated and respected like nobody else ever has. What do I do? She wants him to drop everything and move up to Canada to be with her. How long do I sit here and be patient for?

I am secretly madly in love with my friend and when he asked me "Do you want me?" I said back to him, "Who doesn't?" He leant off the table for a minute and said, "Oh Jesus" and looked away from me but I saw him smiling and then he turned back to me again and then asked me, "Why didn't you bring your boyfriend with you tonight?". I said, "Oh we broke up" and he said, "Was he the fella you were with in Leitrim?". I said "Yes" and then he asked me, "Did you leave him?" and I said "Yes". Why did he say "Oh Jesus" and smile when I said who doesn't want him? Why did he start asking me about my ex after I said this? Does he know I want to be with him now?
