The title says it all... the thing about putting your hand on her leg if she's wearing something above the knee is that you'll be touching her bare skin. And I can't help but feel like touching her skin is a bit too personal.

The exact thing happened with my new girlfriend, who I've been dating for a week... we were chilling at her house, sitting on her couch after a long day going out, and all of a sudden, she put her hand on my leg... about mid-thigh. And it was a sign of comfort. I felt it was only natural to do the same thing back, and I did, also about mid-thigh...but she was wearing shorts. And I therefore touched her bare leg. I had forgotten, and wondered why I felt silky smooth soft skin instead of coarse denim fabric. She didn't mind and just smiled back as soon as I did it, but I couldn't help I but feel I touched her too personally.

So living in Orlando Florida where it's so hot outside, and just USA society in general becoming more comfortable with bodies, I've began to see more and more girls/women wearing shorts in which show their butt cheeks... thong bikinis at the beach too, if it matters, but everyone dresses revealing at the beach anyways (the default bikini is already revealing, and guys go bare chested with small trunks), so it's not a problem.

However, butt cheek shorts in day to day life are not that usual, and still make lots of people uncomfortable to this day.

What's your take on them?


As for me, personally, it depends on how much butt cheek it is. If it's only a little bit peeking out at the bottom near the upper thighs, then maybe it's not so bad. You can even try to think of it as upside down cleavage. And she can maybe blame it on her thighs and ass being being, and the shorts rising up a bit.

However, if it's so much butt cheek to the extent that her shorts look like denim panties or whatever... then it's just a bit much. It'd be the equivalent to a little bit of cleavage versus boobs just spilling out. The former arguably looks good, the latter just looks a bit trashy.

So this is a really basic poll, about 2 very similar items of clothing... shorts are just a shorter version of pants, and pants are just a longer version of shorts. Which do you think looks better on most women?

As for me, personally, it's definitely shorts. I prefer to see actual skin rather than just denim fabric all the way. I really like the way skin looks. It allows you to feel so much, and comes in all sorts of colors, from very fair to dark brown. Shorts also give women are more cheerful, confident, athletic, and carefree look if you ask me. Plus, if I touch her leg, I'll feel nice soft skin rather than fabric. Of course I can't do that to random girls, but I can to my girlfriend when she wears shorts, which is very nice. Also, when not somewhere professional or chilly pants look a bit too formal, to be honest. Shorts are nice and casual, but cute.

Of course, that's assuming the best case scenario whereas she has great legs and super clear skin, like the model in the picture. If her legs don't look so good I think pants might look better.

And yeah... that's my opinion.
