You're the president of the One world government in the year 2050 and over-population has forced us to invest in an off-earth colony. You have to choose between 3 options, Venus, Mars, or the moon. You also have to go and live in the colony permanently because earth is tired of your policies and theyd rather you just leave :) Which do you choose. The scientists give you some pros and cons of each planet but you of course can use the ole google to make your decision.

The Moon-
Much closer obviously, it would be easier to obtain supplies and anything needed, it would also be much easier to evacuate and head back home if need be.
Farming would be near impossible.
Has about 50% of the magnetic radiation shield of earth (much better than mars though)
Mostly barren, very little in the way of resources, you would have to rely mostly on solar power for energy, but you might have very short days depending on where you locate your colony.
Low gravity, could be hazardous for human bodies over the long term when it comes to bone structure and fluids.


Venus- floating city
The gravity is similar to earths, gravity is a big problem because until we put humans on planets with different gravities, we dont know what will happen to our bone structure and our insides. Venus would be playing it safe on this front.
Venus would need to be sort of a floating city for it to be feasible, about 50 miles above the surface. Possible with the current tech but expensive
Farming could be possible with domes.
Low magnetic radiation shield but better than mars
The surface is very dangerous and hot, most likely not possible to reap any resources from their but the temprature where the city would be founded is about equivalent to summer in phoenix AZ (not bad relatively speaking)

Mars-
Much more natural resources than the other two. We could make our own fuel. Long days make it easier to build up solar
