I live in the hood, and so obviously I get talked to by guys a lot when I'm walking around. "How you doin", "You's purty", "Aye cutie", "How old is you?"... But like the weird thing about it is, the more I dress down to attract less attention, the more attention I seem to get. I'll dress all cute and fashiony, and no one will call out to me. But then I go out in zero makeup, just woke up and my hairs a mess, haven't showered, wearing super baggy sweatshirt and jeans with dirty sneakers... and it seems like everyone I walk by is saying smthn. It's just a little weird to me, does this happen to anyone else?

My ex broke up with me for 6 months ago. For a week ago, I started contacting him and he responded quickly. He was like “remember when?” this and that about our relationship, he was being a little flirty and the conversation was so nice. He also told started asking about when we met but tried not to make it too obvious, then complimented me and told me how pretty I was and that he was jealous because I was looking at other guys. I could really feel a connection. But then the next couple of days the conversations were kinda dead (I didn’t know what to say because I was so nervous) For two days ago he told me that he wasn’t looking for a relationship, but his friends used to tell me that he said I was the perfect girl for him. I said it was okay and that I only wanted the best for him just to sound a little more calm. We met at a party in January, and there was a connection, so would it be weird if I had an excuse to pick up a friend at his school so he could see me? Is it a good idea? Would it be awkward since our conversations are dead (what should I do to make him more interested?) I think I’m trying too hard, and I fail because I’m not being 100% myself but I really want to see him. I want to recall that look he gave me when he first saw me. I’m so lost..

I don’t know how he would react if he saw me, but I think he would be speechless in some way.
