Is the period always hostile?

I messaged this guy I've had a crush on for a long time for his birthday and he wrote back "thank you." It was the first communication he and I had since we got in a big fight. And he replied 5 days later at 2 am.

I'm not sure if he was annoyed that I'd actually sent him the message and was trying to say now don't talk to me, or if he just finished it to finish it, or if maybe he was thinking about adding something afterwards and then didn't.

Our fight was he and I have both had crushes on each other for like 2 years, the first time we dated I went back to my ex after his dad died. Then we started hooking up I thought that was all he wanted and he thought that was all I wanted. It was hurting too much and I thought he had a girlfriend so I moved on and got a boyfriend. He gets busy at work so I don't hear from him a lot so when I told him I had a boyfriend he got upset. We rarely talked after that.

I was upset and thought maybe he had actually had a girlfriend the whole time like I thought (fb still said he was, he said he left it because he's never on) and because I hadn't heard from him I accuse that he'd actually had a girlfriend.

The next day he called me and was mad at me. Said that he just gotten out of the hospital and when he turned on his phone that was the first thing he'd seen. That he doesn't care about me that way anymore and he's been on a few dates with someone else.

His end of the conversation started out very much like, "don't ever contact me again." But by the end he was saying that he was always there if I needed him and maybe we could be friends in the future. So I reached out on his birthday. We hadn't talked in about a month.

Obviously I'm not going to contact him again I think it's up to him at this point. I just wish I knew how to make it better.

I'm asking this in the perspective of she never cheated, she never wronged you, she was a great girl, treated you like gold etc.

But you're in a new relationship.

Would you you think of this girl at all?

First scenario: you just recently got the girl you've been chasing for years, you've screwed up all your previous chances by flirting and being inappropriate with other girls and lying. But, your friend who is a weak person is talking to a girl outside of his relationship and your friend is telling you he doesn't want this girl and she isn't stopping with pursuing him. So, you decide one night while drinking with your friend to prove this girl is no good. So you harass her and promise to put her through college since you're in the military and you swear you could give her more than your friend ever could and you will also be there when and if she changes her mind.

Keep in mind you do this all while your girlfriend is at work and has no idea. 3 months pass by, and you're about to ship out to basic... and the day before you leave your girlfriend finds those messages and is heart broken... when she's about to leave you, you break down and beg her not to go. You know she cares about you and can't stand to see you suffer so you talk about how you don't want to join the military or anything without her.

Second scenario: your heart has been broken repeatedly by the guy who claims to have been in love with you for years, everyone is convinced he's mad for you and acts like you should forgive him no matter what... and you're tired of playing the victim to him and having him always completely disregard your feelings and the relationship you shared... you retaliate while he's in basic and kiss another guy. It was literally a sit down, think about it, and decided to do it anyways. To make matters worse you decided to kiss your ex knowing quite well that it would hurt your boyfriend just a bit more. You've full on disregarded your relationship at this point and you're about to end it and tell your boyfriend everything.

Guys, have you ever labeled an ex as crazy because it was easier than admitting that you played her, lead her on or didn't wunna take responsibility for any part of the down fall of your relationship with her?

Ladies, you often hear guys saying how they have a crazy ex, but their the one's attracting them! Bad Boys in particular like to play mind games to the point that a perfectly sane woman is driven mad -- and then doesn't want to admit that he damaged her in such a way that she may or may not have acted out.

BACK GROUND STORY: Recently I found out that my ex called me crazy and I'm a little taken back by that statement. No one has ever called me "crazy" before + it hurts my feelings! After all the stuff this guy put me through mentally, emotionally and physically, leading me on, using me, taking advantage of my generosity the end result is a break up with no closure and him labeling me as crazy. I really had to think twice about that statement because "CRAZY" does not describe me AT ALL, which is why it hurts my feelings! I feel like the only reason why he said that is because he doesn't wunna take responsibility for treating me poorly and being a douche bag! It's easier for him to act innocent once he got all he wanted out of me and then call me crazy when he tricked me into believing he was emotionally available and then when I am all ready to fall in love he's PURPOSELY turned off his emotions so he feels nothing for me. Does ANYBODY know where I'm coming from?
