Okay so. This is my first serious relationship and I have anxiety so let me just say that I really don’t know what I’m doing sometimes.
But basically, my boyfriend last week asked for space, and because I’ve never had a long relationship space scares me. We weren’t supposed to talk for a week, but there were times when I did, and then when I was giving space, he spoke to me, which gave me the okay to initiate conversation.
He has depression, w/mood swings. On Sat. night/Sun. morning he was blacked out drunk, kept calling to say he loved me, that we’d work it out, etc.
Monday comes, says he loves me and wants a future with me. I was saying to him about how certain things can’t happen, when he has anxiety attacks he says things to me that aren’t okay, and he got mad, so I gave him space and BOOM. his ex says hi. And then he cut the cord with me. We’ve had issues with her before so my anxiety flared and I texted too much. And then last night he told me that he loves me but isn’t in love with me, and he said that this changed because I annoyed him in the last week. He said he’d give me a chance to calm down but that he didn’t promise anything. I know he likes her too, he told me and I’m thinking this is a big factor.
Last night I decided to take the high road and texted her “hey, I just wanna say I’m happy you’re in his life and if you have feelings for him tell him because if he has to be happy with someone it should be someone that understands, etc.” because no matter how jealous I am I’m truly glad. He’s missed her, and he never had closure and maybe that’s what he needs. She told me that she actually doesn’t have feelings for him and just wants to be his friend, etc. I haven’t told him yet.
i know the remedy for being clingy is just leaving him alone a while, but he asked me last night to go help him with something important for school, so how do I give him space moving forward and give him back feelings? And does he really not love me b/c I’m clingy or b/c of her?

The Apple update may play in this text, sorry. Anyways there’s this boy that had my attention for theee years now. At the time he was a junior in HS and i was a freshmen in HS. he was my close friends brother and even now i still do care.
he gave me little signs like this
being fidgetty
looking back when he noticed i had seen him staring
looked at me when my back was turned
challenged me in some ways
was impressed by my smarts.
anyways i has only seen him once a week and finally it stopped. My father found out i had liked him and called me a ‘w****’. He really took it out on me but i let it be but he took it out on this boy.
he made fun of him to his face etc and honestly began to feel awkward.
i made him brownies and stuff and he had been hiding his smile and giggles. He was having an issue calling me something when he said thanks. He even winked a little on another occasion as he tried hiding his shy smile.
recently i had found out he liked another girl for a couple of years naturally my feelings felt hurt. His sister who is my best friend really told my friend that she sensed that my dad hates their family and he isn’t fond of her brother. I feel even worse now, i feel like it’s my fault. She said that doesn’t think there is a chance due to all this drama and what i assume as the girl being a part. Really and truly now i feel stuck. Even if he did like me he would fear my father most and that would be it. I’d love to talk to him and become close friends but now i see so much tensions. What should i do? How do you think he feels of me? He’s I️ College now and I’m almost done with HS.
