So, my best friend, let's call him Alex for now. I came over about 3 months ago to hang out after I was done my 2 weeks after coming back from my time. Alex explained to me that when we went to the beach together last year that Sam and he were flirting at the time, I was distracted, but he said I had told him that Sam had a boyfriend and not to get himself in trouble.

Long story short, apparently, when I went to get something from my car while Alex was in the water, Sam felt him and grabbed his Cough. He claims he was sure it happened and that he couldn't be making this up. He only brought it up to me recently becuase he was shy about it. Sam never said anything or acted like anything was up that day.

- One, Sam has been in a relationship for almost three years now. I know she loves her partner, so I'd be surprised she'd throw all that way so easily. However, she has a history of being reckless, so I don't really know.

-Two, Alex has a history of sexual misconduct. Sometimes, I genuinely think it's he doesn't realize how uncomfortable his statements can be. He recently said he wanted to watch me and another girl have lesbian sex for Christmas, and I told him that made me uncomfortable and that I had a boyfriend... who he's met several. He's also joked about taking my virginity when I was a little younger.

I personally, I always think you should believe the victim, and I know male sexual assault gets ignored, and it's a big problem. He's my friend, and I care a lot about him. I've noticed since that day she's been more or less very cold towards him, even when he's the one being friendly. So, I have no idea what to do.

So there was a guy worked with had quite a bit of respect for.

He made a comment that implied sexual interest that, when you get right down to it, implies rather low opinion of and/or little to no respect. How can a man already in a relation, after all, more or less propositioning someone else legitimately respect either woman involved? I think it hurts worse cause I did absolutely nothing - no dressing skimpy, no flirting, etc. - that would imply I'd be interested in casual sex/a fling anyway & the way he did it as he implied good in bed was as if he was doing me a favour with the implied offer/invite.

I didn't take it to HR. I couldn't be bothered. Just left. The job was a meaningless podunk minimum wage thing that I was far over qualified for and even if had stayed wasn't worth mention on my resume as it'd undermine the rest, I was already planning to leave before probation ended anyway.

But when I attract the attention of more successful, and in relation far more decent, men it really shouldn't bother me so much (I don't care for such things having my own money, etc.). And I look back & it's like... what the fucking hell did I do to deserve such disrespectful behaviour?

Okay so at work a man who I believe is still married made a comment about how he was good in bed (earning the nickname as a demon in the sack), that he had had flings, and that his woman didn't necessarily care per se as long as she knew he was screwing someone else (no there was no mention of an open relationship).

It was a random piece of information - out of the utter blue at the end of a good engaging conversation - and not brought up directly again. But there were other times when he indicating interest (e. g. constantly looking over, staring, etc.) and/or trying to earn favor by tasks at work. And then there was a friend of his who informed me that he really, really liked you.

I will admit I am attracted & were he not married I'd definitely give him a go... But moral-wise being married is a no-go zone. Work. People hook up all the time at work, as long as there's nothing saying you can't management generally doesn't care.

My thing is, is as this behavior all started within a month of knowing one another despite claims of respect, etc., he was quite simply after sex... Or was he after sex to see if worth pursuing a rapport with (there are quite a few similarities between us, will be blunt would be a good match).
