I'm not huge into fashion but like to wear clothing that generally is perceived as good. I was thinking about buying this denim jacket. I prefer the more slim fit ones of which this one is. The brand is Lee Rider. It is sort of a off-black.
I'd plan on wearing it with black denim jeans and black suede boots with perhaps a white oxford shirt or grey t-shirt for more casual wear. Also with grey denim jeans and black boots I think would be nice. I'd wear skinny not super skinny jeans (guy in image i think is wearing too tight jeans for my liking).

Disclaimer... of course with all clothing it depends on what you wear with it.. but just assume the outfit fits etc... does it look good? Only on some guys? I personally like them and wear black jeans/black boots and perhaps a checked shirt or oxford shirt or a jumper (often textured or knitted).

Would you go shopping and just pick a torn denim and pay for it?

I don't like the outfit he is wearing it with. I'd wear black boots, black jeans, green woolly jumper with the jacket. Try to focus on the look of the jacket... not the whole outfit. I personally prefer the sort of brown/cream fur over white fur you usually see.
