I can be very tolerant with several things in a relationship or marriage but the 2 things I would immediately break up or divorce no matter how many years we're together or I had a kid are:

- Getting cheated on
- He hits me or threatens he will

On the abuse part... not only would I leave that very same day but I would report it and make sure it's on his permanent record. My mother thinks that makes me a strict feminist and that I should give him a chance and have a discussion the first time it happens. I think not. in my opinion there is nothing to negotiate.

There have been several men in my family that either cheated or hit their wives a couple times in the marriage (my father hit my mother too during arguments) and that would be treated as if it was normal even when I was born..1987. I'm fed up with the generations of cheaters and abusers. I refuse to accept ever being cheated on or abuse by a man that claims to love me.
